Really nice Especially for starters!
THE RED ONE ORCHID TSUBA: Tough, sharp, and well balanced this katana is really good for practical purposes. But does NOT have hamon, real rayskin, or really nice ornament "menuki". But its red blood spattered scabbard "saya" and its synthetic red rayskin and brass guard "tsuba" Look really nice for a really GREAT price. Cuts very nice. Ive tested it on mats, bottles, fruit, cans, wood"NOT RECOMMENDED", and against another sword "DEFINITELY DO NOT EVER DO!" though it survived really good through it all the only damage to it.... Was the sword vs sword. It left a good little chip on it :( BUT! Ive sanded and polished the chip and now looks better than it first was :D but seriously for such a great price for a 1060 high carbon steel battle ready sword. Its WORTH ALL OF IT! And if this is your first sword you will start off RIGHT!

Well worth the money
This sword is very well made. It has solid construction throughout and comes fairly sharp. After several test cuts the blade is still in very nice condition and was able to cut through the targets very well. Even after over cutting and hitting a very hard object the blade did not bend or break. Also the tsuba and handle did not come loose which is very nice. I would highly recommend this as a low cost katana that is good enough to practice iaijutsu and battojutsu.

Arrives sharp and maintains itself if maintained properly
Amazing; blade still in perfect condition after several months and is still strong and sharp. It arrived packaged well and was sharp when arrived. I recommend buying or making a display base for the sword to sit on to help maintain it's tact

I should’ve bought it with the cleaning kit.
It’s a beautiful sword can’t say I’m not addicted to it.

Very nice
No blade wiggle, razor sharp, and seems to be robust. Also looks quite nice too, a nice display piece. I'm sure you can cut smaller diameter bamboo/fruit but thus isnt a machete and shouldn't be used to trim hedges or rough brush 😂

Happy day.
Product came extremely early, in fact, a week early than expected and came in beautifully. Of course, there was the oil the blade upon unsheathing. But just looking at the scabbard was amazing, the spread of the red paint on it, so pretty. Blade came in undamaged and they sold it advertised.

Great show sword, not for cutting
I had this sword for about 8 months, using it in my kendo class. Overall, decent construction, with a few issues . Tsuba became a bit loose after about 4 months, can hear it rattling a bit during katas. But the reason for the low review is the blade quality. In class today we cut a ham (Christmas fun!) My sword got a huge dent in the blade. Spent a bunch of time trying to straighten and sharpen, but you can clearly still see it. There is even a little crack right in front of it. And that was from a ham! Not metal, not even hardwood. So if you want a good looking show sword, this might be OK for you. If you are planning to cut anything with it, get a different one, with much better steel.

Four Stars
It's pretty and it is sharp but not razor sharp like in the bio.
