This product is not reliable
The compressor worked fine for 4 months then completely shut down. getting through to Iron Horse's customer service is simply impossible. I would never recommend this product. Just don't buy it.

So far so good
Compressor arrived as described. It was filed with compressor oil before being shipped. It reaches pressure quickly and has no trouble keeping up with my demand for air. I use a small sand blaster occasionally, pneumatic needle scale, dual action sander. I use the compressor a couple times a week at most.Noise level is high, I wouldn't say excessively loud. It's definitely louder than an Ingersoll rand but nowhere near as loud as an oil less compressor

It was a gift for someone and they loved it.

Expensive piece of junk
I sent it back!!! I really feared for my life every time it ran,it sound like it was going to throw a piston, a rod,the crank shaft all at the same time. The belt was jumping around all the time, the cage for the pulleys is a joke. The tank was nice. I didn't trust the motor,it looked like it was pulled off of something else, then they put a really bad paint job on itBesides the tank nothing was good about it The sad part is there all like that and one company makes all the air compressors that are under $3,000. I looked and looked nothing good not even close to good unless you spend $4,000

More work was required than expected.
The reason I gave this 3 stars, is because the item was assembled poorly. 4 of the fittings leaked right away. I had to take every fitting apart and I added teflon tape to each one. The fitting from the tank is 1/4". Not the best size for blowing out a sprinkler system, but it worked. I would have liked to see a 3/8" fitting there and let me adapt to the 1/4" so I can have more volume when I need it. Part if the issue was there were no reviews and I couldn't find any website that had any info to help make a more informed decision. Other than that, it has worked as expected.

Iron Horse 60-Gallon Compressor
I had mine for one year and two months. I used it maybe 17 times before a rod broke. Eagle who made this pile of junk will not help me they do not care. I would give it no stars. you get what you pay for!

Solid performer so far
Bought one of these from a local retailer about 3 years ago. I have ran sand blasters, paint sprayers and multiple impact tools and it has been running strong since first put into service. The motor on it, I feel like is more of a 3.5 hp instead of 6.5 like described although it pumps up quickly. I bought this unit because of the V configuration compressor to better cool than some of the competitors. I broke it in once I bought (ran it open for a couple of minutes) then drained the oil and filled it with Ingersol Rand compressor oil. I also added an IR drain valve to the bottom of it for easier water draining (it comes with a petcock although it is rather difficult to get to on the bottom). So far so good, I hope it keeps running good!

Dead on arrival
I bought this for my new shop about 3 months ago. Now shop is finished and went to hook it up and the motor is dead on arrival. Going to attempt to get the manufacturer to fix it. Hopefully they are a stand up company.
