The Essential Barry Manilow

Nothing I didn't like about it. He's one of my favorite singers I love the CD and the songs on it very very happy.

If you want just the big hits, go for 2002's "Ultimate Manilow" which has 20 songs. This "Essential" collection has 34 songs, digging deeper into his catalog and rounding up all his minor hits as well as the biggies. The only missing (minor) hits are "Let's Hang On," his remake of the Four Seasons song and "Oh, Julie," a song Barry says he hates. Listening to this got me hooked on his songs, to the point of buying the proper albums. It's no wonder he became the star he is, he is a master pianist, vocalist, arranger, songwriter, showman, he's the whole package as an entertainer.

Love Barry, ever since I first saw him live in 1975 at Mr Kelly's, a nightclub (hot spot) in Chicago. In those early days his performance consisted of many jingles he wrote for TV commercials. And of course his hit songs of the day.Disc: 2 of this CD, I'll be hard pressed to call all his Essentials songs, many yes, but the rest to me are just fill?Anyway, Disc: 1 is great and I loved the extended version of the Copacabana (At the Copa).

Barry is always a staple in my life. Very much like an old friend, that continually brings back profound, yet sentimental memories of yesteryear.Some of these songs, I hadn't even heard.( which made me enjoy the CD, that much more.)Its approximately titled.Love it!

Fue un regalo. La verdad la música es muy bonita. Sin duda alguna la canción más hermosa es 'Can't smile without you'. Es muy buen cd para disfrutar lo mejor de Manilow. Trae mucha nostalgia de aquellas épocas.
