Great Bang for your Buck
It's a darn good Serrano ham, and it beats the heck out of buying presliced grocery store prosciutto, at least around where I live. This is my first leg of jamon, and with the product being online it's always a little nervewracking with large food items. When the product was delivered, I had no issues with my order, it's great on its own or with something tapas style. Personally love some slices with mozzarella, and a little basil. The provided knife and stand made a world of difference, would have been feasible to cut without them but definitely messier. There were no instructions on assembling the stand, as others mentioned but took all of 2 minutes to figure it out.Enough salt to notice it's cured, but not enough to overpower the pork flavors. Delicious on it's own, paired with cheeses, bread, as slices crisped in the oven, or whatever strikes your fancy.I would buy this product again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a leg.

It doesn't look like the pictures.
Ham is soggy on one side, the outside of the leg and the inside doesn't have a fat coverage so the meat was exposed, dry and hard.If I have to guess it looks like this was badly done in 2 months. The flavor is not bad, but there is not marbling on the meat with fat, its just a a little fat outside and solid dry meat inside. When I get a Jamon Serrano, I usually clean the yellow fat outside and then you get pink/white....there is no yellow on this one, just skin and then pink....like I said, this is a 2 months old ham.I get better hams at Costco for half the price here.Do not buy, keep looking,

Jappy with my Jamon
I'm an American born Cuban/Panamanian mutt, raised in Miami, who is fortunate enough to have parents and grandparents classy enough to both appreciate and introduce me to alot of Latin, and even original Spanish culture. So I did my research before buying this Jamon online, versus going into a Spanish market, like I could have easily done in Miami(none in my current area)The presentation is awesome, the Jamonero stand is made of beautifully crafted wood with a "burnt" finish to it, and surprisngly sturdy. The knife is also very sharp, and cuts even better after a few passes on a sharpener. The Jamon is a hit with everyone who came to our "noche buena", a few of whom are well acquainted with the superior "Iberico/Iberian" meats...but were still surprised and more than happy to have a nice lean, and tasty Serrano such as this one in the middle of winter.I will definitely be enjoying slicing this monster up for a month or two, and will also be trying this company's Iberico Jamon next time, it's well worth the price!

I will buy it again!
I will start at the end: It was very good, I recommend it and will buy it again. Now the whole story. I bought the jamon by mistake, as I was really looking for their Paletilla Iberica which I had already tried from a friend of mine and loved it. I am a big fan of Iberico and not really of "regular jamon". But surprisingly, and after getting over my mistake and upsetness, I was happy with the jamon, and found that many others who tried it preferred it to an Iberico. Everyone appreciated how lean it was (almost zero fat after you remove the top and side parts) and enjoyed its subtle saltiness. It was very easy to slice with the knife provided. Cutting very thin slices made it very enjoyable to all...The whole jamon was gone in less than 3 weeks, and let me say, it was a really big one! All family members, friends and visitors loved it, many of them from Spain who know the product very well.Today I cut the last pieces, those closer to the bone, which I will very happily use for my stews this winter, with beans, lentils and of course for some fried eggs with potatoes! Happy customer, will buy the Iberico next.

Kind of dry on on one side
Update: After seeing the review the company reached out quickly and apologized as well as offered a refund (I accepted a partial refund.) Overall it was handled professionally and at the party was an enjoyable visual and also was eaten.-------Let me start with the positives- it was a party hit! It had a cool visual appeal on the board w/ the spiffy knife and the guests at our housewarming loved the presentation. A bunch of (non-Spaniards) ate it up and enjoyed the novelty of cutting their own slices. The other positive for this size ham, knife, and board- the price was great. Now to the issues, when it arrived I messaged the seller asking if it looked right, after viewing many YouTube videos about carving jamon this didn't look right even sealed, one side was brown and hard not the fatty white/pink we saw on many videos and blog posts. We heard back 2 days later asking for pics. This was day of party, so we took some after pics and send a bunch over (the same ones and more from above.) It's day 3 and have not heard back since. For the price and fanfare over this ham at the party, I was hoping for more. We are cutting at an angle to get the softer, juicer pieces at this point as one side is hard and thick. This is also leading to not being able to eat the whole Jamon we paid for and thus not really getting our monies worth.I probably wouldn't buy this again unless we wanted another cool presentation item for a party.
