As far as effects it works like it should. However the weight was definitely off. Probably closer to 2-2.5 grams. Very disappointed not sure how to get a refund.

No extract will give the same effects as drinking kava, but this is the next best thing, imo.It basically does exactly what I was hoping for, some of the anxiolytic effects of kava without the hassle of buying huge bags and making it everyday.I recommend

If you only try kava once and didn't "get anything from it"....you may have been unaware that kava is a product that works via "reverse tolerance" - meaning; the effects get better the more you use it. The first few days I started using this product, I wondered what the fuss was about, but I knew that this was the real deal because it will make you lips numb (a sign you have genuine kava on your hands). Didn't get the full benefit until day four....I took it sublingually, did the thing with a pea size serving; it does feel (and taste) funky for a little while, but just roll with it :) Don't swallow it for awhile - this is how to get the best effects. It's a nice, chilled -out feeling, nothing like mania or the feeling you'll want to do something that might get you in trouble later. (Which I think is a GOOD thing - if the effects were more than that it probably wouldn't be legal.)Only reason I deduct a star, is that I wish the amount/container were a tad bigger...it's about the size of a thingy of lip gloss if you're curious. But it's convenient, you can keep it in your purse, it works good, not too shabby, right?

After opening the package, I found a small container holding the extract. I tried opening it, but to no surprise it was stuck firmly from the stickiness. Luckily, a quick rinse of some water allowed me to open it. You get the first whiff and you definitely know it's kava. And using a toothpick, I globbed together a pea size of it and put it under my tongue to let it dissolve. After a couple seconds later, I began tasting the kava before the numbness associated with kava kicked in. Which was much more pleasant than drinking grounded up root can be. 15 minutes later, the taste of kava creeped on my tongue (my signal it's begining). My muscles lossed up, releasing the tension of the day. While my mind still remained mostly clear, if not relaxed. I was freed from my usually anxiety and was socializing with friends and habing a great time with lots of laughs. (However off of a heavy dose, I would recommend sizes much smaller than a pea size for your first time with kava. However I did take too much. You won't die but it gets uncomfortable and sleepy, which leads me to my next part.). After taking a heavy dose, hours later I now feel very tired and unfocused. Definitely ready to sleep.All in all, this was a very top quality extract and very potent. It did everything really good kava does and made it much more convienent. It's easily worth the $10 for the amount of doses you can get off of it.

This product will help a lot with your mind/body pains. Alternatively, my friend and I quit drinking and use this to supplement similar feelings that are still lucid and comforting. We take less than a pea sized amount and can feel some body sensations and mental relaxation.It is expensive for such a small amount, but I'm not surprised as this matches the general price for kava in my location and this product is a high quality paste.One thing to watch out for is facial flushing. I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this with kava, but shortly after taking more than usual, my friend with experienced a flare up. Their whole body became hot and their skin turned bright pink/red. It went away within 1-2 hours.To be clear - I do not fault the product itself, but rather the excessive consumption of kava. If you're not use to taking it, do your research! This extract paste is truly strong and packs a punch. Know the side effects and what you're getting into. Drink lots of water and have a good time!

The media could not be loaded.  This was delivered to the wrong house despite clear addresses on our mailboxes. It then sat in a mailbox in the Florida heat for two days. I received a sticky messy little container, no bag or anything around it. I lost some from wiping it off. Some is crystallized, so I stirred it up. I’ve been putting a little under my tongue and it numbs right away, taste is quite tolerable surprisingly but I don’t know what effects it’s giving yet because I’m afraid to take too much. I can’t figure out another way to mix it with anything unless I pour hot water onto a little bit of it. It seems like a hassle at that point.

The product seems to work as advertised. However, I deeply regret not weighing this product prior to using it but do to its stickiness I didn't. The container has a thick heavy plastic base, probably used to confuse the user of its actual weight. I used a portion of it and it works well but with about 1/2 left in the container I scooped the rest out and held it on the little spoon that it came with and I'm fairly confident a full container wouldn't weigh what its suppose to. Buyer beware!

I've ordered this twice and find that I absolutely need more than the pea size amount recommended but I use it in the evenings or late afternoon when I'm done with work and like a more pronounced effect. Note that I am 6'4, 210lb so it will likely vary based on bodyweight and experience. Not the most potent effect if that's what you're after but it's relaxing and I enjoy it. Other big pros are that it does not make me nauseous, no upset stomach, no dizziness or vertigo or any negative effect at all that I can think of. I say give it a shot as we're all different and I'll probably order again after trying some other products as I like to experiment. I'd give it 3.5 stars if that were an option due to the cost to effect (and quantity) ratio.
