I answered a "question" about this product a few days ago, but my response sort of turned into a review, so I'll go ahead and leave it here as well: This is an actual sleeping bag for a dog, with a zipper along the side, and also the bottom. It functions like a traditional human sleeping bag; when fully open it nearly doubles in size. When closed up, it's very cushy. My dog likes this better than the similarly sized (but crazy expensive) Ruffwear sleeping bag + pad...It is definitely the better buy for sure, and more durable as well. The material is very soft, water repellent, doesn't absorb backcountry dog stink, and it is very easy to wipe clean.Two caveats to mention:1) It is not a huge sleeping bag, therefore a 60+ pound dog may have trouble fitting in the bag. 2) It is not very compressible, and won't fit in your dog's pack. I just roll it up and strap it under my pack, where a roll-up sleeping pad would go.

Both my dogs were happy in their new sleeping bags. We used them around the campfire and later in the tent. They stayed warm all night (low 40s), plenty of cushion and I was surprised they didn't try to jump into Mom and Dad's sleeping bags! Both are small dogs, weigh 16 and 18 lbs. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Great quality product and my pup immediately knew what to do. Very comfortable and seems to have great insulation. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 it's because it is enormous! It is NOT a backpacking bag. Will make a great option for car camping though

Bag is much heavier than claimed!! I bought this bag with the intent to use it for backpacking primarily based on the 8 ounce weight listed in the product description (2 places). I weighed it upon arrival and was quite surprised to find out it is 3X that at 1lb 8 oz!! Definitely not ideal for backpacking. I didn’t even unpackage it. I Immediately started a return on the item.

My 14lb wild dog has been hard to find a camp bed for. Most are too big, not a pouch or are make with some soft cover that would just collect forest debris. My dog has no problem getting into it on his own and goes right to it when he wants time to himself or a good nap. Only down side is a cotton fill but that is understandable in case a dog chews into it.

First off, the specifications are correct. I appreciate that information being accurate. What isn't stated that is a bonus is that the dog bed comes with a storage bag. A very nice extra.My dog is an adult Border Terrier who weighs 18.5 pounds. He loves this sleeping bag and took to it immediately. What a great find this was for my backpacking trips with my dog. I really like the extra half-moon extension on the upper edge. This allows my dog's head to rest there while the rest of him is in the sleeping bag. Excellent design!One thing to add - not a negative, just a fact - the zipper is actually two zippers. One down one side, and another across the bottom. While that might seem odd, for the different ways you can connect multiple units, it's actually the best design.As a single unit, this is a great dog sleeping bag / resting pad for dogs up to about 25 lbs. Highly recommend.

Got this for winter backpacking/camping with my 60 lb Pitsky (husky/pitbull). He barely fits inside, but seems to enjoy it so far. If your dog is larger, this sleeping bag will probably be too small. Will see how it holds up this weekend when we pop our tent in the snow.

It feels like it’s made out of good materials and is comparable to some of my high end human sleeping bags. My dog has very short hair so I wanted a bag on the thicker side. It feels very warm and I think it’ll work nicely. Glad I went with this brand over some of the other options.

Really well made and super comfy. The dog loved it on our backcountry trip, the cats love it on the (dog's) coolaroo elevated bed. If you want to keep your doggo comfy and warm, this is the best bag you can buy. If you are going into the backcountry I recommend getting a separate compression bag for the sleeping bag as it does take up quite a bit of room and the sack it comes with does not compress.
