Infographics Designers Sketchbooks Hardcover – October 15, 2014

This is a gorgeous book, if you or anyone else is interested in infographics and how they are made, this is well worth the price. It is an enormous hardback with many pages dedicated to the design of the infographics. The only caveat is that the art of the graphics is the focus, so you can't really read most of them as they are stand alone, without the accompanying article. Many are lacking the Info- part.

An excellent book for inspiration and learning what makes a great infographic visually. It is not a how to book. It really is a lookbook. With sketches and the finished infographics.

Easy to recommend this fine book. If you are working in any aspect of design, you will value it on your reference shelf.

First of all, this is not a how-to book.Instead, this is a collection of some well done examples of various styles of infographics with accompanying sketches and process images provided by their many creators. This book is a good source of inspiration for diverse kinds of infographic design and is also useful for gaining insight into the formative design process employed by working professionals in the field. Just be aware that you will not find any explicitly instructional material in this book.I'm giving this book only a 4 star rating because a number of the photos included in it were fairly pixelated. This is apparent without having to look especially close up and I'm not sure why they'd include such low resolution images in a book of this otherwise high level of quality that is selling for over $40. Isn't bad enough for me to recommend against buying, but I'd expect more from somebody like Steven Heller.

Interesting book. Many examples of high-quality, large format.It is useful to view an outline of infographics.
