Works great
I purchased 2 different brands of soap dispensers and so far they are both working great. This one I noticed really squirts out soap fast as soon as you put your hand underneath. But it never will go off by itself as you really need to put your hand close to the nozzle to activate, which I like.I tried to get it to squirt by putting something near the base or even half way between the base and nozzle and it would not activate until I was about an inch away. I think that is something worth giving an extra star for.It has a lot of capacity and the (volume) control works good. I don't usually like a whole lot of soap and this one squirts very little on one of the low settings. There is a rocker switch on top that you can turn it on and off, and also set the amount.Once on and set, you don't need to play with it anymore.I have not tried all settings but if requested I can..Edit 01/28/2015. Still working great.I do notice that when the batteries get low, less soap comes out, but I guess you gave to expect that. Gets used a lot, so I think I have to replace the batteries every 5 to 6 months. Not bad!

Function over Form
Functionally speaking, I would rate this unit 4 stars. It works well with Bath & Body Works Foaming soap (thinner viscosity = less clogs). I like the fact that the user may adjust volume of soap discharged. It does what I wanted it to do and does it well enough. The form is objectionable to me - I'd rate that about a 1 star for residential application. It is industrial-ugly, IMHO. I wanted this unit for my powder room, where a pedestal sink provides no place for pump soap - only messy bar soap space. It was imperative that it be a wall-mount unit. But, next to my dainty pedestal sink this hands-free soap dispenser looks massive. What I'd like to see Better Living Products Develop:1. Reduce the dimensions of the soap dispenser by 1/2 to 2/3 the current proportions. No residential home needs a dispenser that holds over 2x the Bath & Body bottles of pump soap.2. Make the unit to be a wall mount-only - which eliminates that bulging base. When hung it gives the impression that it is obviously supposed to be sitting on the countertop.3. Lose the transparency, or most of it, anyway. Redesign so that unit integrates with brushed stainless faucets without drawing too much attention to itself.

Problems SOLVED!!!
I used my husbands account to purchase this and I want to rate it because its so good! I have this things with clean. Its healthy and I hate going to the doctor so I try to stay clean. I just want my children to USE SOAP when they wash their hands! There were ALWAYS some sort of issue with the other ones. This one GOT IT RIGHT! It holds a great deal of soap! With 6 people in the homeschooled house it can be 3 WEEKS or MORE (set on medium) before I have to refill it! This adjust from low (dime size) amounts of soap to high (a 50 cent piece, or large puddle in the palm of your hand, size). If it has been a while (like the dispenser in my bathroom) before you've used it and its set to medium, you may get a small lotion squirt sized amount the first time, but do it again and you'll get the amount you set it to. With frequent use or higher settings you will have different results. The batteries are in THE BACK! The other machines all had the batteries in the bottom, and we ran through those things like they were FREE or disposable or something. No matter what we did the system would break, but not this one! Soap consistency isn't an issue because you can just change the setting from low to high, the thicker the soap is. We use softsoap brand in this machine (but I do switch to dial disinfected or even a higher end brand for the smell and cleanliness), so you can use a higher end brand and it will render great results still! The sensor is in the front so its easy to keep clean and be detected. Other machines had it under the unit by the whole that dispenses the soap. That seems like a good idea because there are times a shadow can turn some units on, and you'll go to your dispenser and find a lot of soap wasted. We have not had that issue with this dispenser! Water under the unit can be a issue which causes the unit to break! But you can HANG THIS DISPENSER ON THE WALL!!! No water will get under it that way, but be sure its secure. It can take a fall into the sink, but why risk it? The unit was under $20 so it was well worth the risk, we are more than happy with it, we purchased 2! The refill hole is large enough that you do not have to dismount the unit to refill it, refill it while its still on the wall! Kids can refill it without incident as well! The adjustable switch has an on and off setting, but why turn it off, the unit seems to need two motions when it has been a while before use, which I find handy because I was tired of other units wasting my soap and my money! If you are afraid the soap will come out during unknown times, place a decorative bowl under it to catch the soap, so you can put it back in the dispenser. But I have not had that issue with this unit, but the option to hang it on the wall gives me more options to save my soap and money it there should be an accident for any reason. The Lysol dispenser (of which I use to have several of, as well as about 5 other brands) sucked for numerous reason, to include the aforementioned ones. But this product is so user friendly, and affordable, it makes you feel like the company WANTED you to purchase more than just one! It would make the PERFECT housewarming gift, or give it as a quality gift to anyone you want to think of you as being the best gift giver EVER! YUP...people think I am the best gift giver, and they're always trying to out gift me, but its hard to do with items like this one. The silver and black unit is really blending into the feng shui. Being a military family its difficult to make everywhere we get stationed feel like HOME, so feng shui became a well used concept in our American home, once we learned it from another culture. No more getting upset with the kids for not using soap, no more getting upset with me for buying yet ANOTHER soap dispenser or being mad because this dispenser was costly (it was $17) , and no more wasting money because the dispenser dispensed soap when no one was around, and its a cool gift that will make people remember you, and want to out do your gifting! (not that you have petty friends, or that you want to be petty...but petty IS trending LMBO) I hope you enjoyed the review and found it helpful. One smile a day, can do more positives than you first thought. ;)

Also I like the easy filling option and the control that regulates ...
I own 3 of these liquid soap dispensers. All of them work perfectly...no spilling or dispensing delays. They are an attractive addition to one's bathroom or kitchen counter. Although they are fairly costly it is worth it because of their reliable performance. Also I like the easy filling option and the control that regulates the volume of fluid dispensed according to one's needs.

Light keeps flashing
The first one of these I bought, I LOVED. It still works perfectly. The second one is in the bathroom, and since first activation, the blue light has flashed consistently every 10 seconds. Because of this, it's running the batteries down very quickly and the pump is slow to respond. I don't have the packaging anymore and it's not really worth going through the return process, but I wish it worked as well as the first unit.

Works for me...
This is probably the best touchless soap dispenser out there. I had a few of the others, but returned them all, keeping only this one. This is one of the very few units that keeps the batteries high and dry and the machine doesn't eat them too quickly. The clear holding tank makes it easy to see when the unit needs refilling and doing so is easy to do because of the simple twist-off cap at the top of the unit. It is also great to be able to control the amount of soap that gets dispensed. The look of the unit isn't bad, not great, but certainly not bad.The only downside to this unit is the inconsistent first-delivery of soap. If the unit has sat more than an hour, when you activate it, it only gives a small portion of soap. Place your hand or whatever under the sensor again, and out pops the right amount. This is a small irritation and not enough to dump the unit, but it is enough to cost it one star in this review.UPDATE - 08 July 2018We have used this dispenser for 29 months and it finally gave up the ghost. I don't know if the circuit board got wet (there is one in the head), or if the pump motor burnt out (it is in the foot and drives a pump using a thin rubber belt). I have purchased a second one and I hope it will last a little longer, although I can't complain, given it costs 38-bucks. Just out of curiosity, I worked that out to costing a little more than 4-cents a day.
