Air Pump 5V-6VDC Miniature Vacuum Pump Mini Air Pump 100KPa 370 Motor air pump

I bought these back in 2019 for a major project prototype we were building that involved precise electronic control and air actuations. We also used them with Arduino controlled circuits! These functions as intended and needed very well. No problems or failures at all! Perfect for mini or micro actuations and robotic control.

Used as a vacuum pump for Chinese microdermabrasion wand set. At 6 VDC (handy wall wart) the rated suction of 40KPa (pressure is rated 100) was exactly obtained (pump rated 4.5 VDC), current way below maximum so the overdrive voltage appears no problem for suction, at least. 40KPa is 18 inHg and home use microdermabrasion equipment is usually rated at 25 inHg, so no one is gonna suck their face down the tube, lol, but for casual use the suction is fully workable with most applications and saves a lot of $$ compared to locally sourced full sets. Further research shows that 40KPa is effective and is the low end of standard diamond microdermabrasion devices. Seller was completely honest and detailed in description.

The reason for 4 star is low flow rate at 5 V (as specified in the description) other than that it is nicely packaged, two wires are soldered to terminals(not shown in their photo) with JST connection.

I got this to use for transferring liquids. Mainly motor oil from a lawn mower that you have to tip over to drain the oil from. I took a 1.5 liter glass bottle with a solid plastic screw top, "Fireball". I drilled two holes in the lid that would have a tight fit with vinyl tubing, aquarium air tubing. The vacuum side of the pump goes into one hole just a bit so it stays neat the top of the bottle. The other hole in the bottle gets a tube that goes to the bottom of the bottle and into the mower oil supply and when you run the pump it sucks the air from the bottle and that vacuum pulls the oil out of the mower. Always have air flow though pump and it should be OK. Dispose of your used oil at a recycling center. Results in zero spillage of used motor oil.

This pump is incredible, it's very quiet and effortlessly makes 19" mercury vacuum @ 4.5VDC drawing 290ma fully loaded!I'm not sure how long it's going to live but my application is intermittent and occasional so hopefully it'll live a long life.Update: it's March 2025, I made a vacuum desoldering station with this in 2020. I only use it maybe a half dozen times a year but the pump still functions like new.

These air pumps always stop pumping air within a year. I've had 4 of these and they all fail within a year. The electric motor still spins but the air pumps completely fails. Why can't someone make a descent air pump that lasts? I'd pay four times this price for a good solar air pump.

Nice replacement pump.Used on a fish tank system to get waster out of lines.

Useless for my application. I was trying to use it to blow saw dust away from my CNC cutter tip but it feels more like a baby breath than anything else. Does not work for me and would not recommend for this type of application.
