The diamond plates and included case are great, the "resin" bonded diamond plates are not
Was interested to try this after a glowing review on a sharpening subreddit, though the reviewer noted he hadn't tried other resin bonded diamond stones before these. I on the other hand do own fullsize bench stone sets of Venev and CGSW (same OEM as the Matrix Pro stones for the Edge Pro), and also own one Naniwa resin bonded diamond stone. Cheaper resin bonded diamond stones sounded too good to be true but that's why I wanted to try them.TLDR: The Ruixin resin plates are not even close to the real resin bonded stuff unfortunately. The diamond plates are pretty good in this set however. The case they come with is pretty great too.The diamond plates are constructed similarly to Atomas with little clusters of diamonds in an even pattern. They cut fast, particularly the 200gr (obviously) and leave a nice edge at the 400,800,1200, for whichever grit you choose to finish at. How long they'll last remains to be seen. It should be said the main downside is the abrasive doesn't extend all the way to the edges do you will have trouble with some knife designs depending on how they do their plunge grind and or sharpening choil (if any). Now the"resin" bonded stones. From what Ican tell, they seem to be a very thin layer of "resin" spread over a hard cloth backing. Yes, cloth. See my attached photos of the 5k "resin" plate where some of the resin was scratched off from the factory. You can see the tiny fibers of the cloth backing. In actual use the resin plates seem to burnish rather than polish. I wasn't seeing any actual cutting from them, which legit resin bonded diamond stones will do.I do like the diamond plates in this kit however and wish they'd update them to have the abrasives all the way to edges and sell them separately from the resin plates.I also really like the storage case these came in. Contrary to one of the other reviews that said the little spray bottle wasn't included, it is. It's in an almost unnoticeable and unmarked compartment in the bottom of the case. No promotional photos in this ad listing or even in the instructions the stones come with does it say that the bottle is inside a little compartment on the case. So that's another thing Ruixin could improve. Even a little sticker that says "lift here" would've sufficed I think. I almost didn't notice it myself until I saw the hinges in the bottom side of the case.Overall an ok package but I'd look elsewhere for resin bonded stones.SIDE NOTE:Added a few comparison photos of what a full progression of the stones will get you compared to real resin bonded diamond stones. Pictured knife was sharpened through the full Ruixin 200-1200gr (assuming JIS) diamond plate progression then followed by the 3000-10000gr resin plate progression. Stropped 2-3 passes on leather with 1um diamond paste afterwards. You can see a lot of scratches from the diamond plates that the resin plates are not be able to remove and are clearly visible to the naked eye. Does have a slightly bright finish to it though if held at the correct angle to catch it.Compare that finish to the knife sharpened with the Venev resin bonded diamond stone with the progression of FEPA F240-F1200 (roughly 400gr-4000gr JIS) where it's hard to see any faint scratches with the naked eye and it's an actual mirror edge. Stropped 2-3 passes on leather with a 1um diamond paste after the progression, same as the other knife.

Excellent knife sharping diamond stones!
I got this diamond sharping set because while I love my whetstone, they are a pain to deal with on a regular basis. These diamond "stones" I don't have to worry about dulling or soaking, just a quick spray with some water and good to go! They also came in a storage case so I can keep them easily in my utensil drawer rather than find space in a cabinet or on a shelf for a large set.Star Ranking Rubric:🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Outstanding product, exceeds expectations, would purchase again/recommend to friends, family, clients⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: Great - Excellent product, meets and somewhat exceeds expectations, would recommend, has room for improvement⭐️⭐️⭐️: OK – Decent product, may contextually recommend, has definite shortcomings but is functional/serves a purpose. Look nice, don't work
These stones fit into the Ruixin sharpener fine but they didn't sharpen my knife. I was careful to set the sharpening angle at just over 20 degrees and I immersed the stones in water before and after I used them. I also counted strokes so each side of the blade would grind equally. They just didn't sharpen the knife blade. But I did wear off lots of diamond dust that pooled at the bottom of my tupperwear after dipping them in a water bath since they didn't bother to send me the spray bottle either. The 3000 grit stone has already worn down to the paper backing. There is a possibility I'm doing it completely wrong but I'll never know from the cryptic instructions which tell me nothing. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because there's probably operator error involved. I love the concept of maintaining the same consistent angle for each side of the blade, but they need better stones.

Quality stones
Never seen a set of stones like these, but they work well. Worth the money.

Works but weird
Lower grits work well but 1000 and up are fabric. Polishes well and not sure if it’s doing a lesser job or not but I don’t feel right using the high ones but over all will get sharp knives with these

Feels more like files and strops?
Unfortunately, the case I received was damaged during shipping, so the lock broke off and the lid doesn't stay easily attached, but otherwise, I think it would be a nice case. I recently ordered the RX-009 sharpener and thought it would be handy to have more stones for it. Interestingly, the gold stones that came with the RX-009 are also supposedly "diamond" stones but look quite different. I'm not very familiar with all the different types of stones typically used, so I can't speak much more about that. However, the stones included with this set feel more like files than the whetstones I'm used to. I also found it harder to tell the difference in the various "grits" between these until you get to the #3000 and above...those feel more like strops than diamond stones, but there are no particular instructions about how to use one vs the other. So, I have mixed feelings about this set and will need to do a little more research and experimentation to get the most out of them.
