Great improvement in the first week; dog definitely reacts to just beep + vibration mode
This is my first experience with a noise-activated training collar. We've owned a remote-control buzz/shock training collar since our dog joined us four years ago, but her barking has become more frequent due to some changes in the neighborhood (new pets or kids playing in neighboring yards, more frequent deliveries or visitors to our front door). Our dog spends a lot of time in our fenced rear yard but she has a view of the front porch and the driveway, as well as cracks through the fences into neighboring yards. So she's gotten more defensive and aggressive-sounding to the small children in neighboring yards. We just don't have the time to keep a manual shock collar on her and the remote on-hand to beep/zap her every time she barks. So we tried the automatic collar. The English language in the manual is very understandable for most aspects of the instructions, though it does descent into a bit of jargon when trying to explain their special bark-detection algorithm. That's fine, it's clear they're proud of what they've done and honestly, I think they should be. It appears to be very effective on our 50-pound Labradoodle. We haven't used the shock function through her neck hair, which we keep trimmed to about an inch, but it's clear she responds immediately to the beep + vibration function when set at a Sensitivity level of 4 or 5. They provide a clear guide based on the size and type of dog where bigger, louder dogs will be at a 1 or 2 and smaller, quieter dogs will be at a 7 or 8. I've watched her closely for 4+ hours while working in the yard and I don't think I've ever seen it give a false positive detection, which would be noticeable because our dog immediately jogs over to her "comfort spot" on the porch when she barks and it goes off. I've never seen her do that (while wearing this collar) without having barked first. She's been wearing the collar on and off for the past week and she has dramatically reduced the amount of barking at kids or dogs in the next yard over, almost to nothing. Again, we've only used the beep + vibration setting and it has already been a huge improvement in our stress level about having our dog be a well-behaved member of the neighborhood, while we work in other ways on her stress level about alerting to insignificant activity. As a side note, the display screen on this is excellent for clarity and readability, and the battery is great. I charged it before first use and I don't think I've recharged it in a week of the dog wearing it 4-8 hours per day.

A1 Quality Device and Collar = A1 Value ...
Decided on one of these when helpers are around while doing a home remodel since the now 2 yr old male German Shepherd has to b refrained from getting in the way by being caged in another part of the place. He's been cage trained since a pup so he zooms right in there with no worries but after some time alone gets antsy because he can't b involved therfore some whinin n barkin surely takes place. This product worked very well to curtail the barks thou some of the whines do prevail - god luv em.Since he's been brought up alone with me - he's a friendly non-aggressive good tempered pup so only a low sound/vibration from this device does the trick - just wish i could leave it on for more than an hour or so BUT he needs a 'check on' every once in awhile anyways which helps em relax SO having to remove more so than needed ends up fine. This product works very well, Comes with a nice easily adjustable collar - thou wish it had a leash connector since I'm not one to leave em out 'off leash' nor un-attended SO it's only for 'in house' use here. He's a big ferocious lookin male to some who luvs to chase anything that moves within the acre here - being that's in their blood - roaming the grounds will never take place. The device comes with prong covers (2 to use & 2 xtras). The setup is as most find (semi-complicated) and does take quite a bit of testing time to figure out whats best thou once set after some time of usage the booklets not needed (yes it comes with very detailed instructions for testing and setup variations). Has 8 different settings of all 3 different modes - shock wont b used in my case thou its available for those who feel the need. Also has a few options for those who happen to possess more than one 'best friend'. Comes with a 'short' usb cable for charging - the process is simple and well supervised with both audible and visual features. A charge - depending on its usage time - lasts several days in my scenario.Know there's simply no way to help curb any barking that may take place when he has to b left alone due to work or shopping since it's a given he'll rant at times due to seperation until well accustomed by age. This product helps well enough for all the other times - it does its job as intended to do.

Not for multiple dogs
Sadly, this was not a win for us, but the unit seems to work. The problem is that if another of my dogs bark, it corrects whoever is wearing the collar (obviously). I also sneeze really loudly (it's a problem haha) and it corrected my dog needlessly. The instructions were very confusing as to how to adjust it and I just gave up on it. I'm sure it's great for a singleton, but not multiple dogs.

Excellent!
I’m using this collar on my 12lb. Papillon. I was afraid it would be too heavy but it’s not at all for her to wear for at least 2-3 hrs at a time. She has actually only worn it twice for 2 short walks and she’s been cured of barking at other dogs already. She definitely did not like the vibration and it was set on level 2 out of 8 levels available. She only barked once each walk and that was enough for her! Had she continued to bark, then the collar would have continued to intensify its strength. This collar went into action immediately upon her bark. It’s got a beeping, vibrating, and shocking option. You can choose an individual option, combine the first two options or use those along with the shock option. The collar strap is very long and should fit most dogs. It’s so easy to understand and set up. It holds its charge for days and it’s waterproof! You just turn it on and the collar does the rest. I highly recommend this item and it’s a really great price too!
