Tyranids - Hive Tyrant - Boxed Set

First things first: This model is about to be upgraded by a resin version of this model. The resin will be more expensive. But it won't make you want to hurl the thing across the room in frustration.Okay, putting it together is rather difficult. As a large metal model, it tends to fall apart under it's own weight every so often as you build it, arms won't stay in, so on. The way to get around this is as follows:1) Get a small drill and pin it.2) Get a very small piece of polysterene foam, lather it in super glue and put it in the join. This makes a fairly strong bond.That said, if you can put the thing together, you will feel well. If you're getting the resin version, this will be a lot easier.Secondly, it is cheaper than the GW version. This was sent by the person nice and early.Thirdly, once it's built, using it is fun. A Hive Tyrant is a close-combat monster (literally, in this model's case) who can get the ability to re-roll it's (and any units within 6") attacks, as well as bring in reinforcements easier. Mine has wings so it can get there quicker- note, the wings come separate, and are horrible to attach. If you're getting this for a child, don't get him wings. A non-winged one is fine. Also has some nice guns, but you'll mostly want it's close combat abilities and army buffs.
