Square Braid Cotton Candle Wick - #1

I purchased this because some candles' wick do not last that long and I still have a bunch of wax to burn off, it took a whole to make this wick work with the wax as it burns way to easily, a good thing. Great price for the amount of wick.

These wicks do seem to work quite well for 2 different beeswax candles I made. One was a tin-can candle ~2.6" diameter, the other is a soda-can candle, ~2.5" diameter.

The listing shows this item weighs 3.2 oz. Even with the packaging it doesn't even weigh a single ounce. I also weighed it with the retail AND Amazon shipping packaging and the total came in at only 1.4 oz! Basically you're getting a VERY small amount of wick here at quite a steep price. In addition, the reason I don't purchase wick from many suppliers is that they use a chemical process to help the wick burn better. However, this information can be difficult to find for the general public unless you dig for it. So knowing the origin of an item (where it is made) is very important if one really wants an all natural wick. There is NO information to be found on where this wick is made or where the cotton is sourced. Why not?

Great wick. It was easy to work with in the process of making my candles and it burns beautifully. Will definitely buy more when the time comes.

Made beeswax, coconut, lavender candles in babyfood jars. This sized wick did not burn the entire candle and caused slight tunneling. The babyfood jars are not wider than 2inches, so I'm at a loss.
