great update to a great practice amp
This is a cool update to the 7 watt mini. It's a bit larger than the amp it's replacing, but it's still very portable. the effects are cool and it sounds great.

Roland’s best kept secret
So I’ve owned this for a few weeks now and I must say it’s ranks very high on the list of great sounding amps. Not just mini amps, tube or SS, but amps in general. This has the tube logic technology and sounds up to par with the Boss Nextone Stage, Roland Blues Cube Hot and Artist. Now, it’s only 10 watts so I wouldn’t gig with it, unless you mic it to a P.A system. But the tube tones are there, in fact, the katana mini-X has a deep punchy tone (when placed on the floor) that my Roland Hot doesn’t have. But the best feature I think is the Bluetooth capability. I use that a lot when I’m learning new songs, with just the smartphone speaker it’s really difficult to hear the lower notes, but the Katana mini-X allows ALL the notes to ring out! Definitely worth the money!

Great sound for its size
Amazing practice amplifier for beginners. Lots of useful fx built in and battery life is plenty for long practices. Its loud enough for some small busking gigs but imp this is more of a bedroom amp.

Really good amp overall for the price.
Great sound and settings, really portable and has a good battery life, came in around two weeks after the order but was worth it in the end, looks pretty cool as well.

Bummer
Blew a speaker I thought it was odd since I never use it above bedroom lover volume, so I took the back off to see that the speaker cage was a little bit I assume traveling through the bent cage eventually damaged the coil unfortunately boss does not list a replacement speaker so had to use a middling car door one that was the closest to the specs I could find

Cool little amp
The 1st one I ordered was defective,had no sound and functions as far as tuner,bluetooth,and variation of the channels did not work...figure damaged in shipment. Was not shipped by Amazon. The replacement one shipped from Amazon by Amazon works perfect and as far as sound really good for guitar,bluetooth for music not so much...BOSS needs to step up their game on the speaker. But all in all it's a cool little amp for the price point
