My son is going to be a goalie this year. We surprised him with these new gloves. He loves them and says he's saved several goals. The gloves have an amazing, sticky-like texture which grabs the ball. The padding helps soften the blow from hard kicks and the supports also keep the fingers from being jammed or pushed in the wrong direction. We have not had to try cleaning them yet, as they have only been worn twice. My son is 10 with thick, but not big hands and the gloves fit him just fine.
