Q: How hard was it to put together?

Two people assembled the shelf and it required about two hours.

Q: How much weight can the top, middle, and bottom shelves safely hold/handle ?

I am not sure if the weight but my father has over 125 books in both units we bought. Very nice units. We bought one and liked so much we put two side by side. Really nice shelving.

Q: How much weight will each shelf hold?

That is very specific, but I’m sure a safe range is around 30 lbs. Honestly I’ve packed a lot of books so I’m probably underestimating by ALOT but that’s my rough guess. If you’re just filling it with books and your average shelf decorations, it’ll be fine.
