Recent change/lower quality
I have purchased this tea four times since 2019. The first three bags were a consistent quality but the bag bought in 2023 was noticeably different both in appearance and taste. The dried tea from the 2023 purchase has more of a green tinge, and the steeped tea is noticeably lighter (see photos - the 2023 edition is on the right; an older version is on the left). The newer iteration lacks the earthy flavor notes of Puer. I agree with another reviewer that the new variety tends to more characteristic of an Oolong.

Not organic
The website says “material organic”, maybe this means it’s not synthetic? I don’t know but the last one I purchased had a certified organic label on it and now these labels have white stickers over them. I never drink non organic tea, especially this type as they are usually coated with pesticides.

Amazing, delicious, my favorite tea ever
I'm so happy to have discovered another tea that I like! It was my good fortune to encounter this pu'er Velour at the beautiful Lan Su Chinese Garden Teahouse in Portland, OR.I've never cared for black or green tea. A while back, I discovered that I really like rooibos. Now I've discovered that I love pu'er.I really like things that can be described as "earthy;" this is the description of this loose-leaf pu'er from the company's website:"Deep, earthy flavor, dark red-gold color and a rich, velvety texture. Woody, earthy, vegetal aroma like an old growth forest."I would describe it as having flavors of mushroom. It brews very dark and velvety-smooth. No "essence of stinky sock" as other pu'er has been described to have, lol.I brew in a yixing gaiwan and I get up to four cups from one scoop.

Good daily drinker
The is very good mid grade puer. I'm not a puer snob, but I've tried probably 30 varieties of varying price and this is my favorite daily drinker.I would say it's at least the same quality as the Numi's loose leaf puer, very similar strength (3 or 4 30 second steeps),but for almost half the price. (Numi is over forty right now)

Wasn't Sure What to Expect
We wanted to give Pureh a try. We have been advid tea drinkers for years. This was our first go around with Pureh, probably out last. Not saying this is a bad product what so ever, just saying Pureh is, " Not our cup of tea", is all.

Great value
I really enjoy the earthy smoothness of this tea. I use a French press and steep the leaves many times over and the tea maintains its full bodied flavor. Will definitely repurchase.

A lovely cup of tea.
Oh my goodness. My new favorite. Words cannot describe the wonderful mouth feel. The aroma is as complex as the taste. Wood. Sea air. Mushrooms. Forest floor. Nutmeg. Chocolate. Drink strong, sweet, but not too sweet with milk. If you love full flavored complex teas then this won't disappoint. Love it so much I have it delivered regularly.

Uneven pu-erh quality
I liked this tea the first time I ordered it. The latest batch was not so good. It tastes more like regular oolong and gets bitter when steeped for a while, unlike better pu-erh teas.
