Very overlooked and underrated testament of a star.
This is a real find, actually. I would have probably have never read it because of the mixed reviews but after finishing Bebe Buell's epic story, I had to give it a peek. Costello must hate this book because it really has him sussed in some bits. Hinton is a fine writer and I think he created a very complex, interesting picture of Mr. Costello. The one who keep secrets and lives a double life. The tormented man who is frightened to face his desires and fears. Hinton took chances and I liked that. He didn't give Elvis a white wash job. He showed a real man with faults and issues. It made me want to get the new CD pronto. So, I guess I shall.
