Treasure Gurus Victorian Style Folding Coat Rack 5 Prong Swivel Hook, Black by UD

I bought two of these to replace a rickety old hall tree we'd been given by someone who clearly knew it was rickety. This rack is very solid and easily holds our wool coats. I could not give this 5 stars for two reasons. One, it didn't come with hardware. The seller has since explained that the hardware is not included by the manufacturer, so you're on your own. Two, the description says the hook is flat black. I didn't receive black but a color called "rust". It's a rusty, dark brown. The seller was willing to review my purchase, but I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and kept the hooks. As I said, I do like them and the color will work fine with my decor.I recommend both the hook and the seller. The product is good and the seller seemed willing to work with me and responded quickly.

I usually don't write reviews but I really have to comment on this product. It is sturdy, attractive and will look just like the picture. Mine came with two screws, but I didn't use them because I used self-drilling drywall anchors that hold up to 79 pounds (they were the ones I had on hand), and those have screws that go with the anchors, and those screws fit this item perfectly. You just have to use a little black paint (I used spray paint which I sprayed into a disposable cup from the bathroom) dabbed on with a cotton swab which takes about 5 seconds. Now it is secure enough to use for a coat rack...except that's not how I will use it.This rack has five separate prongs, and each prong has 3 hooks to it, for a total of 15 hooks. They will move to the side (almost flat against the wall on either side), if you want, or you can space them avengingly as pictured. I could imagine a hat and scarf on the lower hooks and then the coat over that, for five people. But the reason I bought this, and love it so much, is because I was looking for a key rack (car keys, house keys, etc., so they don't end up who-knows-where while at home) and this works. Other key racks were beautiful, and sturdy, but none of them kept the keys from banging against the wall, once hooked in place. I pictured a constant touching up of the paint/drywall, and/or dirty fingerprints from handling them. This is the only rack with hooks that completely eliminates that problem. And it looks great on the wall with only keys on it. But for sure it will hold coats. This is a wonderful product.

I needed 4 pcs. and I order 5 pcs. because all are made in china, low quality control, and I was expected at least one to be damaged, CBM - crack brocken or missing, and not in GWO - good working order; I was right! in rest the good Hooks are strong even if are looking ugly; hoppe the black coat top paint is not with plumb/poison;Shipping was on time; the package was very good/professional, no stains and not interior or exterior damages;I put 2 stars for one bad hook, from total 5 pcs. ordered;

No surprise on the product. It was exactly as expected. Heavy metal hooks for coats and hats. It is cast metal and there are some flashing at the seams. But at this price it is what was expected.Only complaint is the fact that it does not include mounting screws. Screws are cheap but it need to be painted for color match and that is a pain. For some people this could be a major issue.

So I decided to add some baskets and coat racks to my foyer to make this "wasted space" more useful to me. The store was a waste of time as I could not find one that looked good. I say these and decide to give them a try. These are really nice. They are made of heavy steel. They are easy to install and look good. See my picture (note: I'm going to add a shelf at the top with basket to finish of the entryway. But all-in-all I am quite happy with the look).These would look great on a wall as I have it in the picture or it would work on the back of door. You could also paint them to match your decor of needed.

I can only gives us three stars. The hook itself is very nice but the teeny tiny screws it comes with would not hold up anything but it maybe. So I had to go by anchor screws so that it could be functional.

It's a cool piece and I'm sure it works just fine, but when it arrived it was actually a brown color instead of black, as advertised. It was also smaller than I expected it to be. So, because of these things I returned it.

Our little rowhouse in Baltimore doesn't have a coat closet, so we hung this folding coat rack by the door. It hold plenty of coats in the winter, and doesn't take up very much space. The arms are very strong!Mine didn't come with hardware so you'll have to supply your own. You'll definitely want to anchor screws in drywall if you can't attach it to a stud - the hooks are sturdy and can hold a lot, but the whole rack will come down if it's not securely attached to the wall!I'm also ordering one for our bathroom - I think it makes a bit more sense for towels and bathrobes than a traditional towel rack.
