バランスの取れた良いキット
Fシリーズの中で最も多く生産されたF-4のキットです。エッチングパーツやマスキングシールを省いた廉価版ですが、プラパーツのみでも充分精密感はあり、Bf109のキャノピーフレームは比較的単純なので、マスキングシール無しでも、塗り分けはあまり苦労しないと思います。キットの出来はこのスケールではベストに近く、エンジンの再現などはありませんが、全面に打たれたリベットや、機銃の銃口が開口済みなど見せ場はありますし、ディテールと組み立て易さのバランスがよく取れたキットだと思います。マーキングは、エースのマックス=ヘルムート・オステルマン少尉機と、フランツ・シュヴァイガー軍曹機の二種が付属します。総撃墜数はオステルマンが102機にシュヴァイガーが67機ですが、二人は戦争を生き残る事は出来ず、オステルマンは1942年8月9日、シュヴァイガーは1944年4月24日に戦死しています。
