Before I start this little review, let me preface with the fact I am not in any way attempting to provide medical advice. I am only sharing my personal experience.Now…. I have suffered from lower back pain for over a decade due to a car accident. I have tried many devices and few have worked. I was skeptical about this back brace as I was not looking for a solution but something that would help correct my posture and potentially give me some relief.This incredibly wonderful support did come with instructions, which I found to be quite handy as well as a nice carrying bag that would allow you to store and travel with my new little friend aka back support. Like many, I am working from home, so my posture has suffered greatly despite having an ergonomic setup in my workspace. I unconsciously will slouch when I am in my chair, and this further exacerbates my back pain. Additionally, housework, gardening, lifting heavy objects in the garage, etc, all contribute to further back issues.Having said all that, I admittedly had rather high hopes regarding how this back support would work, and it did not disappoint. Once it was on (again, the instructions were very helpful), I immediately noticed a difference in the way I carried myself. I tend to be conscious of my posture but I am not always focused, therefore I tend to slip and slouch as bit, especially when I am in pain, which is quite frequently.Due to its construction this back brace helps me hold myself erect and also provides support to my back. This is great when I am sitting at the laptop (as I am doing now) as it makes me aware of my posture but also provides a decent amount of support. This is also going to be great for when I am gardening and I may even attempt to use it during some of my more strenuous workouts, as I believe it will provide the necessary support I require, especially when lifting heavy weights.I will say I ordered a medium to ensure it fit properly (I am 5’2” and weight 127 lbs), however once fitting this around my waist I believe I could have ordered a size small and it would have fit perfectly. Nevertheless, this is a great support for my back and I am going to declare it as a total winner. I recognize some individuals may require more support and a full back brace may be more what is in order, however for me and my finicky back, this was just right. I would say I don’t believe I personally would wear this out in public (strictly for vanity reasons), however as I have pulled back muscles in the past which has rendered me helpless (literally) for almost a week at a time, I believe this would also be a tremendous support for those times (which I am hoping will be less).In summary, the fit is great, there are “compression straps” which allow for a tighter fit, and the inside of the brace is incredibly comfortable with great support. For me this is a happy back, happy life ending!!

I almost fell in love with this back brace, but then I was reminded that nothing is perfect, which I will explain in the last paragraph. As soon as this product arrived it was clear it was a class act. It came in a box, as compared to so many of Amazon's items that come in a clear plastic bag with a small white label. Would it live up to my first impression? It pretty much did. It shapes to my back perfectly and the material is soft enough and stretchy enough to be very comfortable while also giving good support. The metal stays are also removable, but I will probably never need to remove them, because the belt is quite comfortable with the stays in place.Some things are a matter of personal taste -- you may or may not like the bright yellow a's on the side straps. I'm not crazy about them, but I do like the column of yellow dots on the back. The belt itself is made of a soft mesh and is in two separate horizontal pieces, which makes it conform even better to the particular contour of your waist. It comes in a mesh storage bag, which is also well-constructed rather than being a cheap throw-away.Now, in what way is it not perfect. Well, it has a finger strap on the right-hand side of the belt and the Velcro for holding the belt together is on the left-hand side of the belt, so the Velcro overlaps the finger strap and therefore pulls up and does not lie flat against the right-hand side of the belt. It seems to hold, but I could I just cut off the finger strap to make the belt lie flat. I hope the manufacturer reads this review and decides to put the Velcro on the correct side of the belt. This belt still deserves five stars, because everything else about it is so good.

I have been having issues with lower back pain and have tried many different braces to alleviate the pain. I was really impressed by the support this brace provided, and I think it’s due to the plate the is in the back of the brace that aligns with your spine. The brace is very adjustable and conforms to your body provide you a tight and exact fit providing the most support possible. I like the material it is made out of as it is much more breathable than your typical brace making it easy to wear it all day during work. It definitely causes you to have better posture and limits your ability to bend over at the waist so there is a small learning curve to wearing it all day, but it’s worth it. It alleviates a lot of the pain in my lower back while wearing the brace, meaning that even when I’m not wearing the brace my back still feels better!

Great brace for your lower back. I sit most of the day for work and needed something that can provide pressure and pain relief in that area, especially when getting up to move around and carry items. I love that the stretch on the adjustment sleeve can be changed to ensure you feel it tight enough or loosen it for whatever purpose throughout the day. Breathable and doesn't leave my skin feeling like it's sweating all day. Definitely a plus to have.
