I have switched my horse to a 9 week shoeing schedule. Since his shoes are more likely to get loose I needed hoof clinchers. These are working perfectly! I am easily able to tighten my loose nails without having to call the farrier in between scheduled visits. I took a lesson from my farrier and feel comfortable doing it, but I would suggest getting your farrier or vet to show you how to use them properly. They are very easy to use and a nice length with good leverage. They come in a handy cloth case and inside a ziplock bag. They were lightly oiled when they arrived and I am keeping them that way so they don’t rust. I’m very pleased and recommend them highly!
