I took this gimbal stabilizer to enhance my photography and videography with the phone. It provides steady footage, even while moving, which is great for capturing moments with the kids or during outdoor activities. The extension rod allows for different angles and wider shots. Face tracking and object tracking features are handy for keeping subjects in focus. The OLED display is clear, and the controls are intuitive. Battery life is sufficient for my needs. It's been a valuable gadget for creating better content.

This is very well made and well finished. It has decent weight too it - not too heavy, just right I think.I've never used a gimble before, so at first it seemed a bit fiddly and needed some patience to get the phone fixed in place and balanced nicely.There's a small tripod that comes with it, which easily fixes into the threaded handle - and I found this to be a more comfortable way to hold the gimbal, as it extends the handle further to make a longer grip.The instructions are not great honestly. Searching YouTube does bring up a few videos though, which were a great help.Switching between the modes is easy enough, and in general I find it to work nicely, with the joystick manual control also being needed at times to keep it pointing where you want it.I'm still finding that it quite often seems to have a kind of its own though, randomly making sudden movements that are unwanted - there's a possibility that's a "me" issue as I'm still learning how it works of course.Downloading the app gives extra options for zoom and focus control and some other "scene" / "filter" type options - although I'd generally prefer to edit footage in post production; it's nice to have the option I guess.Overall this is a good gimbal and it's a reasonable price I think.

A few months ago I was asked to write a review on a gimbal from another manufacturer, and I was not impressed at the time, so my expectations for this one were low, especially considering that this was more than £20 cheaper. I couldn't have been more wrong, because this AOCAHUAN Smart X2 gimble is awesome.Please start by watching the instructional movie attached to the listing for this product. In learning how to use it, I have watched the movie multiple times. It covers the features well, better than any manual or review couls. On the subject of manuals, one is included, but its a small foldout thing, and the text is written in silver ink - less than optimal. The movie on the listing is much better.In use, this gimbal is great, especially when paired with the AOCHUAN app. As well as the expected steadying features, the app allows you to use face tracking, has panorama features and more. Tracking has to be my favourite feature, because you have versatility to track any object, which works great when moving and following a subject.The gimble is lightweight and packs up into a small footprint. I am happy to recommend it.

I had known gimbals were for stabilisation but hadn’t realised what exactly went into that. It works with a family members iphone - it had to be connected via Bluetooth to the companies app. It is a bit of a learning curve but so far everything seems to be working as it should. It also packs down small which is good for storage. So far I am happy with this and if I encounter any issues with it in the future I will update the review.

I have quite a lot of experience working with this type of product and this is why for me it was easy to understand the functionality and also how to operate it. I am using it with my iphone 16 Pro and i'm able to fit it properly on this gimbal. Based on the experience that I have with it I have noticed that the battery holds for quite a decent amount of time and also a full charge takes roughly one hour and a bit which is very decent. It helps me to film videos significantly better considering I don't have to hold my phone in my hand which means that if I wanna make sudden moves the image is still clear. I have seen that it has an interesting feature which is the object and face tracking but personally I haven't used it so I cannot say too many things about its performance. Particularly for my preference one of the things that I like the most about this gimbal is the fact that it has a small adapter which basically transforms it into a tripod and this of course saves a lot of time because I don't have to remove my phone and place it on the tripod that I'm using the most to film videos. I have made some tests to see how it will perform when I'm holding it in my hand and I run, and after checking the video I came to the conclusion that it is very smooth and it doesn't even compare in terms of stability to the videos that I was filming while holding the phone in my hand. This is a reliable gimbal which I consider that it performs properly this is why I would definitely recommend it.

The gimbals connect to a smartphone via bluetooth and the Aochuan app. It was extremely quick and easy to set up. Once connected, all the photography is done through the app.Other than the standard photo and video, there are quite a few other functions to play with. From inception mode to gesture control, it adds a few additional features that may not be available on you device.I personally really like using the panoramic feature. Usually with manual panoramas, they get distorted as you pan across. With this, the only thing you have to do is keep steady, and the device will turn and give you perfect panoramas everytime. You can do 180°, or 330°, which is impressive.The gimbal itself is very compact. When folded, it's small and easy to travel with. It also protects the moving mechanisms, as the pieces are pushed back against the handle. Though it should have come with a drawstring bag or something to store this in.One of the things that I didn't like with most phone clamps is that they would push down on my phone’s power button, making it inaccessible or shutting off my phone. Often I have to resort to sliding the phone and clamp from the bottom insteadThe clamp design here fixes this issue, as it is notched in the middle. As opposed to a rectangular slab, it is essentially two claws. This gave me a gap for the power button, and kept my phone centered on the device. The sturdiness of the clamp wasn't affected at all with this design. I was using my 6.7” Umidigi on this, and it was tight and working without any issues.In the other gimbal that I have, the clamp was able to be pulled further away from the arm. This one could not do that. While I didn't experience any issues with my 6.7” phone hitting the arm, it's really close that I just think a smaller device would likely work better.Other than that, the device works really well.The controls are well placed on the handle. For right handed users, the buttons are all positioned within reach with the thumb or index finger. Single hand usage is definitely possible. On the left hand, the scroll is a little harder to reach, as you have to bend your fingers back to get to it. It's possible, but not the most natural.The movement of the gimbal is good. It kept the image steady and level through my movements. It rotates smoothly and quietly. I am very happy and impressed with it. Five stars.

This is a wonderful option if you are looking for a gimbal, but don't want to spend a ton. There are some features that some of the other models don't have, that I really enjoy. I have another brand of one of these and one thing is common, and that is the learning curve is fairly significant. There are a select few buttons, but they all can perform multiple functions based on the number of times clicked, or if held.This one is fairly easy to understand and I was off and running pretty quickly (instructions are massive, but multiple languages). Obviously, it requires its own app for you to use it, but that is commonplace with these devices. The app is pretty good and I used it for a bit, but there were some limitations I haven't been able to get past. One of them is that my phone offers 10x optical zoom, but the app's camera function appears to digitally zoom anything past 2x and it it really noticeable.I do really like the selfie feature and the added stability base for setting it on a table. Heck, even if you just want a device to put on the table to record those special moments, this thing is great and offers very good stability. The extension works well when you want to extend, but make sure you position your phone correctly as some of the orientations seem a little counter-intuitive. I was able to get them to work, and you should too!
