Very cute moving windmill building set/music box
The windmill music box set is a pretty nice building set. It looks very attractive, and is decently easy to put together--although due to the smaller size of the pieces, it may be suitable for older children or adults only. The windmill spins as it plays music, as does the small water wheel on the side, and it looks great as a centerpiece or display piece. The price, at $19 at time of review, is quite good for a set with this much detail, and it's a fun set to put together.

This was super fun to build
NOTE: if you like lego sets, these are smaller, sharper versions of legos, so prepare your hands/fingers for it. Don't snap two pieces together unless you're sure because they're a pain to pry apart. I think later versions of these sets come with a tool to help with that. The visual instructions are good but nuanced, so look a few times at the shade of the bricks and count the pegs to be sure you're putting it correctly. I loved being able to add the cute stickers the set came with to really make it come to life. It does open up so if you want to store it open, it doubles it's footprint with it open so plan your case/shelf/display area accordingly. The hardest part was the octopus but if you don't force it, it comes together nicely once you've got half the legs going. Would recommend, these city sets are so cute and fun, I would say this is a good 8 hour project so have a couple of podcasts or albums queued, great and relaxing hobby piece!

Lovely Cat Sake Bar
This Japanese restaurant, a neighborhood sake shop called a Izakaya, is absolutely adorable. I love the giant cat statue/sign on the top of the shop that's holding a sake bottle. There's so much other detail in the model as well, that's what make is such a great model; every time I look at this model I see something knew and I built the thing. At about 6" wide, 1.4" deep, and 5.7" tall this is a small model that will easily fit on a desk or a shelf. It uses the mini sized blocks that are compatible with other standard mini brick sized pieces. Even though there are only 7889 pieces, these little pieces do mean this model is more difficult to build and with all the detail it takes some patient and attention to detail. To top it all off the instructions are fantastic with great documentation that's easy to follow and each step is clearly illustrated.

Really fun and easy build
This took no time to build but it was fun the whole time. It looks awesome too.One weird thing about this set is that you use the bags out of order, but whatever, at least they tell you about it in the clear instructions. The pieces are tiny but good quality. I had no issues with missing pieces or malformed pieces.
