I bought this for my daughter because I have a copy and find it amazing full of facts and the truth

Excellent resource. It contains at least two-thirds of the verse notes from the original study bible, making it more compact. The introductions to each book examine the message in light of God's plan for the nations and where we find ourselves at this present time. There are helpful essays on various topics at the back.

This is a good price and although the pages are very thin it does the job and is not difficult to read even though the print is small.

With each hard copy purchased there are two on-line versions made available. One for the purchaser and one for someone in the world with a need for The Word. Thank you Crossway for an excellent Study Bible.

Amazon Verified Purchase I have been a big fan of the ESV when it originally came out. This new ESV Global Study Bible is a great addition to the study Bibles put out by Crossway. For what reasons you might ask why this study bible is worth your money? 1. Each book of the Bible is introduced by a Global Message section in which one of the editors draws us into the storyline of the particular book but also to the global message. We get a sense here of larger themes that Christians from every continent can hold onto, understand, and think through. Secondly, this section helps us focus in on the main themes of the book with a witness to God's overarching purposes in the story of redemption. 2. Throughout the study notes, there is small boxes that indicate FACT points that the editor is trying to make that enhance our understanding. Often, these are plot details, cultural customs or key historical events. These fact boxes help the reader narrow in on some important features that we might otherwise miss in the text. 3. There is a whole host of articles in the back of the Bible written by international evangelical scholars such as Ajith Fernando and Harold Netland. These articles range from Biblical Ethics, World Religions, Government, Human Life, Mission and Evangelism and others. The articles are excellent, bringing together keen insights into the global landscape of Christianity with an eye towards God's unfolding story. Of particular note is Fernando's article on Mission and Evangelism in which he a very strong view of evangelism that is tied to the church and its role in proclaiming the gospel. 4. The geographical features incorporated into the biblical books help the read understand a bit of history and culture that was taking place in the centuries that the Bible was written. 5. This sounds like a cosmetic thing but I really liked the compact size of the Bible, the easy reading font and layout of the text and presentation of the writing. I hope you enjoy the ESV Global Study Bible as much as I have.

Very handy and useful. Language easy and within grasp. Supported by a huge number of notes which adds value to this edition. A long felt need of a compact hardcover volume (size 8.5" x 5.5" x 1.45") has been met at a very affordable price by Amazon. Packet was received within 5 days of placing the order. Packaging was carefully executed, and no transit stress was noted, although weather outside has been very challenging for over a week. Thanks Amazon India for your great service. I cannot help but to add even at the cost I may sound a little bit selfish, that a FULL-COLOUR edition would certainly have immensely added to the value, for which I might surrender an additional 60-65% on the cover price (INR 745) towards cost of such colourful addition. Nevertheless, that does not reduce its value. Hope many English knowing Bible lover may like to have this version to have a wholesome devotional experience with The Word of God in their hand with many many well-researched and immensely useful scholarly insights at your finger tip.

I really like this Version of the Global Study Bible. It's easy to read and understand, even for non-native-english speakers. The comments and footnotes are very valuable!
