Great booklet... many sweet patterns.

I bought this book at my local fabric store. There are 5 different bag designs, and with modifications, instructions for a total of 11. I am currently making the BYOB for my granddaughter. She is in competition dance, so I am making it in her team colors. I plan to make others from this book as well, and I can see many variations from the designs. However, I only gave it 4 stars because it is not for the beginner. Intermediate seamstresses will have no trouble with this, but if you are new to sewing, you might want to look elsewhere.The instructions, while complete, could be written in a more concise manner for beginners and more pictures would also be beneficial. While it isn't an issue for me, the instructions might be a little confusing for beginners. While the cutting charts are a definite plus, the cutting diagrams are lacking. The pieces on the diagrams are labeled, but numbers should also be included (some are and some are not). For example, Fig. 1 on page 35 is one of the best instructables in the book. I wish there were more of those types of figures included for every step and all bags. All in all, it is a great book with cute designs.
