Really sweet series with cozy illustrations and good writing, perfect for 1st graders
I stumbled upon this series while searching for early chapter books for girls for a gift. No sass, Posey from this series is a sweet and reasonable girl. I chose book no.2 for the gift. When I received that book, the soft and cozy illustrations, the good language, the simple relatable premise and problems of a 1st grader, and the solution the protagonist finds for them, brought an instant smile to my face and prompted me to look for a more gender neutral book from the series for my 1st grader son. This specific book satisfied the relatively gender neutral condition, plus, Poinky was adorable! Loved this book! I am surprised this series is not more popular! This series is perfect for beginner chapter books for 1st grade, 6-7 years of age.

Perfect First Chapter Books
Stumbled upon Princess Posey while shopping for my 6 year old. She's in the first grade and wants to read chapter books like her 4th grade sister but picks up the same books and gets discouraged. She's not quite ready for Beverly Cleary's Ramona books- which are also wonderful- so I was so glad to find these before she gave up and decided that "reading was not her thing." Enter Princess Posey, and we're set! She loves these books. She loves Posey herself (she's a sweet girl) and the stories. I love that the chapters are just the right length for her, there is enough white space on the page, and just enough pictures to keep her interested. She's feels like she's reading a big girl chapter book, and she is! Thank you, Stephanie Greene, for these just right books!

cute but too short for the price
I wish these books were a little longer. My 7-year-old (2nd grade) can read one in 30 minutes. She enjoys them, but for the price, they do not last very long for reading. She has to read and do a short book report Monday-Thursday after school, so one of these books is only good for one day.

Cute stories with good lessons.
Stumbled upon this series by accident. My daughter (in 1st grade) was worried that they were too difficult for her (she had never read a chapter book by herself before). She had read book 1 by the end of 1st grade and I could hardly keep up with her as fast as she was finishing them. She's read all the books multiple times and still loves them (in 3rd grade). Cute stories with good lessons.

My 1st grader loves this series
My six year old loves this series. She can not get enough of these books. She can read one in about 2 days. Anything that keeps my kids reading a book instead of playing on their iPods or watching tv gets 5 stars from me!

Ok storyline, quick read
Bought this book for my 5 year old daughter in hopes to get her interested and used to reading chapter books. The storyline is just "okay." It did hold her attention, but is it a book she will want to read and again and again? No. There is a nice lesson to it and it involves school, which I did like. If anything, that alone is worth the price of the book. Chapters are very short, but that's probably a good thing if you are reading it to a 5 year old.
