5.11 Tactical TacTec Trainer Weight Vest, Tough 600D Nylon, Style 56693

This vest is great! I use it for runs, walks, and hikes. Fits great and is comfortable. I like the pocket in the front and I usually hold my keys and phone in there while out. I used curved plates from Amazon and they fit like a glove. I’m 5’1” 128lbs for reference.

It fits well and very secure. Adjustment is easy for the chest and shoulders. I have used it on several workouts, and I am very happy with the fit, feel, functionality, and security. Very well made.

I am a large man. 300 lb powerlifter who is switching over to a more "functional" fitness. That being said I have a very large chest. I was pleased to see that the straps in the back of the vest can be adjusted by removing the stitching and letting the strap slide to the next section. When you are using 25lb plates this makes a huge difference. On top of that very positive attribute, you get the quality you would expect from 5.11's tactical merchandise, the ability to load the heaviest plates you can find, and retain comfort. There are a lot of good brands out there, don't sleep on this one.

Very happy with this weight training vest. I put 8.57lbs rogue weight plates in it that I've had and went on my first walk. I was looking for a comfortable vest that I could use with my weight plates to turn my walks into more of a workout and this did the trick. Only thing I would change would be the weights that I have for ones that are more curved for a more comfortable fit.

Fits good , and is good quality. I just wish you could also buy the 5.11 plates with it. The other brands will work with it. But they don’t fit as good an it messes with the fit. I had to go to a 5.11 store to get 5.11 plates. The ones recommended for it online (in another brand ) are not recommended by me. Use 5.11 , you’ll just have to buy them separately somewhere else.

Picked up one of these vests after asking friends for recommendations and was initially skeptical about plates being installed through the bottom vs the side. Wasn’t very confident about Velcro being able to keep my toes from being crushed by a falling plateAfter using the plates I bought with it, I knew I needed to add more weight for walks with my dogs. I went to my friends machine shop and had him make a few different thicknesses of plates and maxed out, this vest weighs in at 84lbs. The pockets allow for about 1” in combined plate thickness and after a couple of walks, I have no more concerns about the safety of my toesThere’s plenty of adjustment for body size and type and I like the Velcro sewn in for patches on the front and a pocket too which makes it easy to clip on a light for early morning or late night walksOnly issue (and it’s not really an issue) is the shoulder straps could stand to be wider to spread out the weight better across your shoulders/traps. I realize with 84lbs that is likely to be an issue regardless of strap size, but I’m sure it would help. There’s plenty of padding, they’re just kind of narrowStill highly recommend and if I ever replace it, I’ll give extra consideration to this vest based on my experience

This is a great way to enhance a hike for a harder workout. I like how it sits on my torso.. Not too low and good padding on the shoulders. Takes a little finessing to get the weights in, but not too bad. The most challenging part is getting it on and off. I use it with forty pounds inside. Great for hiking and dynamic moves, but it would be damaging to run in. I recommend it

I purchased this in November 2022, and over the past 13 months, I have worn it 3-4 times a week while hiking. I really like the product and recommend it, but beware, the front plate has worn through and 'cut' the webbing strap and the carrier securing the front plate. I figured the plate could have a sharp edge, but the photos show that the plate edge(s) are not sharp. I also slid my finger over the edges, too. Anywho, it is an excellent product, but I suggest you occasionally check its nylon components to ensure the plates are not doing damage.---January 2024 Update---5.11 reached out to me and had me supply proof of purchase, a description of the problem, and photos. A week later, I had a brand new vest shipped to me. That is exceptional customer service, which had me order a number of other 5.11 products, and a lifetime customer.

Que les digo, llevo un año con el, lo he usado para correr, calistenia, le montado hasta 25 kilos en total. Y sigue como nuevo, tiene un sistema de agarre de la placa increíble. Su Velcro sigue como nuevo después de un año, tanto el práctico como el de.parches. tiene bolsitas laterales y frontal, y su manera de colocarlo y asegurarlo es muy bueno. Recomendadisimo.

Doesn't come with weights. No room for adding weights. Mediocre quality. Extremely expensive.

Nicht gerade billig. 5.11 halt.. Aber spitzen Qualität. Super verarbeitet. Hab 2 10 kg Platten drin. Hätte nicht gedacht, dass das Klettsystem das so gut hält. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Buen ajuste y acabados del chaleco, la incorporación de las placas es fácil.

Es un chaleco excelente para hacer ejercicio. Le he puesto placas de 3kg y de 5 kg (frente y atrás) y es súper cómodo. Incluso lo uso para correr con ese peso y no siento que el chaleco brinque y sea incómodo. El chaleco tiene acabados que me hacen pensar que va a durar muchos años
