Three weeks of shaving from this battery.
I bought a Philips HQ7260 rotary shaver in May 2008 (7 years ago). It is a Mains/battery shaver and after charging for about 8 hours the battery was supposed to last for approximately 35 minutes of shaving. However the battery didn't last very long and I was soon having to run the shaver from the mains every day. This is the advantage of a mains/battery shaver which it seems are not so common these days. Presumably the manufacturers hope that battery only shavers will be replaced when the battery fails. The shaver instructions tell you how to remove the battery when it fails and the shaver disposed of but there is no option to replace it even by the Philips servicing department. You are also warned not to run the shaver without the battery. As the battery compartment is a sealed unit (the shaver can be cleaned under the tap) I was wary of dismantling it in case it was impossible to reassemble it properly, but recently I decided to have a go and checked that the battery was an AA size NiMH battery but using solder tags.I purchased this battery and fitted it after enlarging slightly the slots in the printed circuit board. After charging I was amazed how long the battery lasted before requiring a recharge as it was a month before it finally ran out of charge. I measured the shaving time as just over 70 minutes giving 30 full days of shaving with an average of 2 minutes and 20 seconds per shave.I don't know how long this battery will last, but at least I now know I can replace it if necessary.Addendum September 2016I have now had this battery for just over 12 months and while I only had a full month of shaving from a recharge on the first occasion, I have consistently had about 3 weeks worth ever since. As it takes about 2 to 2 and a half minutes for me to shave, this equates to about 45 minutes of use per charge which is much better than the original specification.

I have finally got round to fitting this to my shaver and it works fine. Be VERY careful that you order the correct battery as my Phillips Philishave uses a NiMh battery and not a NiCd. I had to change my initial battery order. A NiMh is about 3.6v and a NiCD about 1.2v, fully charged.

Genuine replacement battery. Saved the expense of buying a new razor.
Exactly as described and fairly easy to install. I didn't expect to be able to obtain this vital spare due to the age of the razor which is now working perfectly after the replacement battery was fitted.

Good value and does the job ok
Good value and does the job ok. Big job fitting into the razor, taking to pieces, soldering etc but worth it in the end and saves buying a new razor which is what Philips want you to do!
