Japanese Sword Choji Oil

It seems to be made with light mineral oil and has some clove essential oil. Basically, that’s all you need to make Choji Oil.It is safe for antiques. You could make your own or support the small business. So far I ordered three over the year, two for the swords, and the third for camping, to keep my knives and other steel objects rust-free, without using something like gun oil, that can be toxic, and may cause discoloration of hamon, which might be fine for replicas but certainly not good for antiques.I think it’s a good value for a pre-made Choji.

Very clean, clear and well scented. Best blade oil you can buy.

A good buy. You get a lot of oil and the container is tightly sealable. My only criticism is that you do not want to pour. It'll spill far too much out. I had to liberate a drinking straw from a cafeteria and use it by putting my finger on the upper end to carry it out. A long eyedropper that reaches the bottom would be great. Still, a good buy.

I bought this oil because the maintenance kit I purchased had one with horrible scent of synthetic machine oil. It was so strong that I felt it during practice.After reading other reviews stating that this oil has a nice scent of clove and has good oiling properties I gave it a try. and the product is amazing here are the pros:1) The nice very gentle scent of clove is present it is very gentle and at first you might think that the oil is even odorless2) Applies well and covers the sword surface well3) A lot of product something like 50 ml in the bottle at least enough for 1000s of sword oiling-s.4) Good price really for just 10$ product this good and so much of it? its a good deal.Cons:I do not really have any.

I personally love this product. it is surprisingly thick, but it coats a lot more than I expected too. I like the thickness of the oil also, as it gives a good coating of oil to my knife that lasts for quite a while during storage/carry. I bought this knife as a protectant more than a restorative, so I cant speak for how well it lubricates moving parts, or removes rust etc. but for what I was looking for, its perfect. its an excellent product, and as many others have said, it smells fantastic too, which is a nice bonus.

I'm happy with the quality, pricing and promptness of the choji oil. It's really a worthwhile purchase. It will go a long way in helping me maintain my tachi, jintachi iaito and my handachi.
