Change of Fortune

This author continues to surprise me with her characters and their ability to entertain. The author has a fabulous sense of humor. Readers should check with their local library to see if the books are offered to members. THANK YOU, Jana , for your wonderful stories.

However there are so many!!! unfortunately there are so few pages in abook, I can read one each day. I am s retired widow on ss, I wish you would combine two books into one. At $5.99 each book its very expensive for me. Note I Withstand ing, I have never laughed out so much that I can remember I am 82 and loving it. Thank you Mary Escarcega

This was the most hilarious adventure yet. I could just picture Gertie with her gator and thwarting Celia at every turn!

I swear I laugh out loud reading these books more than I should! I love these characters and can’t wait to read the next one.

A good book though a bit slow in spots. The end is a wow. Now what is in store for Fortune, Ida Bell and Gertie?

This story made me mist up a little. I have enjoyed every page. I cannot wait for the next. Excellent!

This series has been great & this book is probably the best so far because we got some resolutions. Hallelujah! I’m not going to spoil it for anyone!As with all the other books I was laughing out loud (and waking up my husband)! The comedic situations that Fortune, Ida Belle & Gertie get themselves into leaves a permanent grin on your face & definitely leaves you wanting more of this dynamic trio. Fortunately there are so many of these books. The mayhem is just too much!Without going into too many details I have to say that I was on the edge of my seat with one of the storylines in this book. I was practically hyperventilating! As with the other “cases” these three work on, the evolution of the conflict’s ending was somewhat unexpected. You know how it is….you think you’ve got it figured out but you were actually wrong even if you were close to right. Great suspense without all the drama & dragging things out.The characters are just so rich & well developed. The extra characters & main characters just leave you chuckling. This series just makes you feel good & I think that is especially needed during the instability of current times.Thanks Jana DeLeon for the reprieve from regular life!

This series is one of the best I've read in a while. Every time I read one of her Miss Fortune series it would make me laugh and that's what I like. Change of Fortune also made me cry which I usually don't. Very few have made feel about a series like these books do. I highly recommend this series to everyone. Keep up the great series Ms. Deleon. This is one I hope doesn't end for a long time.

This is such a great series. You can always expect it to contain lots of mystery, mayhem and laugh out loud moments and this book doesn't disappoint in anyway. I even caught Mr serious (aka my dad) laughing a few times in this book and with such a wonderful cast of characters, why not?Fortune is fed up with hiding and with the summer all most over its time to take charge and take down Ahmad once and for all. It's just a shame Sinful isn't the quiet peaceful town everybody thinks it is, with an alligator roaming lose in the streets chasing people up lampposts and food being stolen from the local cafe, can Fortune spend enough time preparing for her toughest mission for the CIA or will Ahmad and his mole finally get the revenge he so desperately desires. One thing is for certain, where Fortune is you can find Ida Belle, Gertie and Carter.Cassandra Campbell is the voice of Fortune and I can't imagine anybody else could do a better job of bring the characters to life.

I wish she would write these more often! Hilarious as always, the laugh out loud and have everyone on the plane/train staring at you sort. Unfortunately the author seems more into another series she writes, romance/paranormal, I read one and thought it was absolute rubbish so wish she would concentrate more on these. The Mudbug ones were also very funny. This new effort sees Fortune going after Ahmed so that she can come out of hiding and, naturally, there are also the usual hilarious chaos along the way - mostly originating with Gertie, although regular readers will not be surprised by that. If you want a mood lightening couple of hours then this will not disappoint. If you haven’t read them before, I would recommend starting with the 1st book in the series.

Another great book in the miss fortune series. So many twists and turns, excitement and plenty of action that make this book a real page Turner. Fortune and the gangs shenanigans will have you laughing out loud with every antic. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Sinful.

Oh wow, what a fantastic story, it bought Fortunes "other" life to an end, but thanks to Ida Mae & Gertie, it certainly wasn't short on laughs either😀 I literally cried with laughter at the description of the invasion of the cats. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the books in this series, I'm looking forward to see what happens in the follow on book later in the year. Till then I think it may be back to the start and reread them all again.

Love the Miss Fortune series - can hardly wait for the next book. Jana Deleon creates amazing stories of danger, romance and hilarious mishaps.(and she has done it again with this book) I spend my time either holding my breath in fear of danger or laughing out loud and crying so much at the antics of the Swamp team 3.
