Read the directions, don't just wing it.
I see a lot of 1 star reviews complaining that it was too salty but they also talk about how they only marinaded it for a few hours. Marinade for days not hours! The package does say marinade for a few hours on smaller cuts, but I'd still marinade for at least a full day on those. Cook steak medium rare to medium, any more will dry out the meat and there won't be much flavor left of the marinade. (so if you're one who only eats ruined steak by cooking it well done, then this marinade is probably not for you, steak probably isn't for you if we are being real.) If done right its some of the best marinade I have ever had, and you just taste flavor without it being salty. Be patient and be careful not to over cook and you won't be disappointed. All of the 1 star reviews I read were from people who clearly didn't use the product correctly, so please ignore them if you feel like you actually know how to BBQ. With all of that said, I think it is much better to use on beef than chicken. If you do everything right, I promise you will not be disappointed!

The Holy Grail for all BBQs
Growing up in Klamath, Dick Howard’s was a favorite. I’m so grateful to have it online now! This marinade is a must for tri-tip. Buy it, you won’t be sorry! And if you ever make it to Southern Oregon, stop into Howard’s meat shop. Their jerky is the best I’ve ever had!

BEST MARINADE AROUND! We love Pops!
First off I don’t ever write reviews but I grew up in Klamath and Pops Sauce is one of my all time favorites. It is so versatile with how or what you can use it with. It ALWAYS makes things taste amazing every single time. Just remember to shake your marinade well. We try and share the secret with everyone we can!Since we live in Alaska now I am beyond ecstatic that I can purchase this on Amazon between trips down to Oregon.You gotta try it, you won’t be sorry!
