I needed to replace the belt on my Genie Silent Max 1000. This one did the trick. I watched several YouTube videos on the replacement, and everyone seemed to need to take of the entire unit and belt track. I just disconnected the belt tensioner end (door side) and fed through the new belt after cleaning out the old belt and debris around the pully gear.After reinstalling and tightening up on the mechanical tensioner I used the units built in electronics to reset the door travel and force adjustments.The entire process took about 20 minutes and this was the first time I had ever done this.I would definitely recommend this product (and having a copy of the owners manual).

This is for an 8 foot door , but it did not fit my door. Not sure if my motor is further back than normal, but it was too short. I had to cut about 5 inches off my old one and use two connectors to make it work. I will order one for a 10 foot door. The product seems good, but I just think my opener is further back than normal. Just measure the length of your old one and order one that is longer, you can always cut it.

Arrived on time the product appeared of good quality and fitment was spot on. I do garage door repair and will be buying this product again.

Easy to install. As a previous poster suggested, do not remove the motor unit. After removing the pins at the door end and the two clamps above the drive wheel, the belt assembly will lift off. Remove the 4 screws from the belt clamp. Replace the belt. Don't over-tighten the tensioner. Reassemble.The price seems a bit steep - more than half the original cost of the entire unit - but it works OK.
