after a total knee replacement, I had nerve damage ...
after a total knee replacement, I had nerve damage with a drop foot and that foot was swollen. I have to wear a brace for this foot. These socks worked well with the length of the foot brace and didn't hurt being put on. I ordered several more pairs. thank you, Mary

Finally found myself some knee socks!
Hardly anyone sells knee socks anymore; can't find them in the stores. Maybe folks don't generally wear them these days? When I ran across these on Amazon, I was hopeful...Sure enough; they're great! Needed both navy and gray, so this was a good two-pack. I'd love to have a two-pack in black and brown too. The wee bit of added padding on the ball of the foot is very welcome.

Comfort at Last!
My left foot had extensive surgery five years ago. Three of my toes were shortened, and they didn't heel correctly. The podiatrist tried to correct them with two more surgeries over the next two years, unsuccessfully. I need knee socks that don't bind and fit my long feet for winter, and these are great. They are so loosely knit that they easily stretch, and seem too large on my size 10.5 feet, but they work for me. I dried them in the dryer, and I think that shrank them a little. I wish they came in black, but I can use the navy and gray. Thank you for carrying these, Amazon. It's hard to find extended size knee socks that work for me.

Buy A Pair Of Garters
The socks arrived this evening. I put them on right away as the new boots I'd ordered were delivered today too. I purposely bought these socks to wear with short cowboy boots (8" shaft). I have a very FAT calf, 15.5" so I was very, very worried that the socks wouldn't go over my calves and/or be too tight. But I read a bunch of reviews here that said the socks were loose enough. Well, that's the problem. They are very soft, they felt okay on my feet in the boots. BUT I only had the socks on maybe 15-20 minutes before I realized there was a problem. I walked from the bedroom to the front porch to take photos in my boots (rancher, I walked maybe 20 feet out and back). I was sitting for the next 10 minutes or so then got up to walk back down the short hall to the bedroom and I looked down and saw the left sock all the way down in the boot around my upper ankle. *I had the left pants leg pulled up to see the boots and one pants leg inside the right boot. When I took the jeans out of the right boot the right sock was also down around my ankles. While I'm very happy that the socks fit around my fat calf, I am seriously disappointed that they couldn't even stay up for an hour. I wear a size 10 shoe, my feet are just a hair shy of being wide. I'm going to see how much trouble it is to return them and get my money back. $14 is way too much money to spend on socks that don't stay up on your legs even 20 minutes.

Very soft and comfortable! Highly recommended!
So comfortable! Incredibly soft! I love the length as they are longer than the Doctor Scholls Diabetic socks which I have worn for years! Another great product. My only complaint is that these socks slide down easily. Frankly, that bothers me. The diabetic ones aren't quite long enough for me but, they stay up.All in all, a 7.5 out of 10!The price is also better than the diabetic ones I was buying through Walmart and they were delivered right to my door! Love that!

Much too big
I was happy to find knee socks that wouldn't stop the circulation in my legs. Unfortunately, these miss the mark. They are soft, warm and stretchy. However, they are so big that the heel is almost up to my ankle. They bunch up and barely fit inside my shoes. I am a size 8 and my shoes are not too tight. The crew height Dr. Scholl's are great, but the knee socks are very disappointing. I have stopped wearing them altogether.

Comfy and warm!! 2nd purchase love them!
I bought these socks because a podiatrist suggested wearing diabetic socks for comfort, even tho I do not have diabetes. He told me to try them when I scoffed. I am glad that I listened to him! These are almost thigh high on me, yet do not make my legs feel as if they are being "choked" or lack of circulation - which is what they do I guess! They keep me warm and toasty, very comfortable and not falling down all day long. I love them and will purchase more in the future. Highly recommend these as they are colored. Local stores only carry white. Give them a try and like me you will be pleasantly surprised :)

Hard to get normal knee highs are available!
I really like these Scholl's knee highs. I bought them because I wanted a normal sock material, a cotton wool, because all knee highs I see in all my catalogues are compression which are difficult to get on. Normal knee highs are even hard to get in stores like Walmart. In frustration, I went to Amazon and was surprised to see precisely what I wanted. They are comfy and look good and for a perennially cold person like myself, WARM but not too warm. Since they are Scholl's, they have a special looking foot in them. It doesn't say what they are in aid of, but it could be to help them be comfy. And they are affordable.

Expensive but fits well.
Even though they are expensive (reason of the 4 stars) they are very comfortable, they also come out of the washer (gentle cylce) in good shape .

they were somewhat large but they are very soft and do not leave the dreaded elastic mark on your legs I do like them
