YES VIRGINIA, IT DOES HAVE MULTIPLE USES.
I bought this for an odd reason: to identify medication. I currently have 9 different medications that are all round shaped and white. Some have lettering, some have a score line, some have absolutely nothing. Since I divvy up my pills in one of those weekly boxes, it was becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish one pill from the other--so I thought of using this frosting spray.I bought 9 colors of this Color Mist, and have made me a chart so I know which pill is which color. It makes for a very festive pill box, but the important thing is that I can identify which pill is which.I created a 'spray paint box' so as to not get the overspray all over the place, laid a piece of parchment paper (which I folded in half before placing in the box for ease of getting the pills back into their bottles), laid out the pills on the parchment, and LIGHTLY sprayed the pills. All they need is a dusting of the color--enough to distinguish one from the other. Dries practically instantly, and doesn't affect the pill at all. Pick up the parchment, and with the crease as your 'funnel', slide the pills back in their bottle. Repeat with any other pills you may be doing this with.I have found that if you need more than the colors available, do one side in one color, turn the pills over, and do that side with another color. Trying to "blend" the colors doesn't work....the 'canvas' is too small, the product has a wide spray, and in the end, they just look like some muddy color that you couldn't distinguish one from another. It's a good product.....and on frosting, it's even prettier. I know you can find this wherever Wilton products are sold--but they may not stock all the colors.PRO: ease of use, price,CON: quantity of spray/price--you don't get a lot in the small can.

Is great for decorating Christmas Tree cakes and also for green grass look for Easter Cakes!
So easy to use - if using on a cake you're not planning to frost, be sure to make sure cake is thoroughly cooled and dust first with powdered sugar as to give it something to be based upon. Will work on chocolate cakes, providing you powder sugar it first! Has no flavor except the sugar. Can also spray atop a frosted cake as well!

A serious review
So let's be clear. This is a food coloring, and is not intended for spraying directly into one's mouth a la Mad Max. As a food coloring, it works very well: it gives an excellent silver sheen, and applies thickly and evenly. The taste leaves a bit (a lot) to be desired, but this is a decorative item not intended for immediate, primary consumption. Now, onto the real questions: this left my teeth wonderfully shiny and chrome. It inspired me to new heights of bravery in Immortan Joe's name. I took a spear to the shoulder in my last raid, but with the aid of this product, rebounded to destroy my enemies and see them driven before me, and I even later heard the lamentations of their women. While I have not yet attained Valhalla, I have no doubts this product will ensure my entry therein.

Horrible taste
I bought this to turn Oreos into Gold coins for St Patrick’s day dessert plate. The product was easy to use but it did not cover the vanilla Oreos. Also, the taste was absolutely horrible. Based on these reasons, I was very happy I only did a test on a few cookies and was able to move to another plan.

are there other options?
not as 'golden' as I was hoping. and left an odd taste. (live and learn)

Lightly spray sugar cookies once royal icing is dry. Gives cookies a beautiful sheen/shine.
I use the Pearl color spray. Once the royal icing sugar cookies are completely dry, I lightly spray about 12" from above the cookies (almost like a fine mist). The Pearl color gives them a beautiful sheen and does not interfere with my royal icing colors. Just make the icing on the cookies shine!

Pretty good
It was my son’s Golden Birthday so rather than spending a ton on a gold cake from a baker I just bought a white cake and sprayed it gold. My son said it looked like Pee lol. But overall I think it turned out well for what I was trying to achieve. 1 can worked for the entire cake and then it was empty.
