I teach second grade and my kids absolutely love listening to these guided meditations
I teach second grade and my kids absolutely love listening to these guided meditations. I plan on getting the other books. A great resource for calming kids down and teaching them the foundation of meditation. Would highly recommend. Have had kids request this often and have had kids be so relaxed that they fall asleep. These are kids from tough situations who have trouble being calm so this is amazing!

I can/t praise these books enough. I've been using these books in my kindergarten classroom for several years and they are amazing. I will keep buying them and keep recommending them as long as Carolyn makes them. She also sends lovely handwritten messages and it makes me feel great knowing my money is going to a small business that deserves it. :-)

I really like this series but found that this third one in particular had incredibly similar stories to ones in the first two books. For example, the Seed and the Pumpkin as well as the Spreading Kindness ones were practically the same.

flying like a bird
Absolutely charming and inspiring. Kudos to the author! I know this guide was written for kids, but I bought it thinking I'd benefit from it since the child in me is still trapped in my 55 year old body! Why can't an adult lay down, close their eyes, and be taken to such magical places? Having self-diagnosed myself with ADD, yoga and meditation help keep me relaxed and focused. With the help of an "assistant" asking guided questions, Ms. Clarke's meditations bring on the much needed relaxation and focus, and a creative avenue to escape the craziness of our world, by: becoming a superhero, riding a comet, flying like a bird, climbing an apple tree, or imagining being covered in a moonbeam blanket, and so much more! The guide is easy to follow, well organized and thought out, and the artwork fabulous! The only reason I don't give it five stars - I wish the book was longer for the price. Enjoy!

So beneficial for kids to have the time to visualize, imagine and dream!
This is my first Carolyn Clarke book and I am so impressed! I have taught kids yoga for years and guided meditations were something I wanted to incorporate more in my kids yoga classes. The kids have loved them and have been so receptive. I have especially loved using the "Apple Tree, Mountaintop and Island" meditations. I am also looking forward to using "Earth Tour" for the National Kids Yoga Day around Earth Day in the Spring. I am an elementary school teacher and use guided imagery often to help spur creative writing ideas. These meditations do not take long, but the act of allowing children time to dream, imagine and visualize is incredibly beneficial for kids. They do not get a lot of that in our busy media driven lives. Keep the books coming Carolyn!

A must-have guided meditation book for teachers, parents, and health practitioners!
This one is yet another gem from Carolyn Clarke. I especially love the fun topics of these relaxation stories: superheroes, unicorns, a moonbeam blanket, a flying carpet ride to India, and a tour of the Earth. This beautiful book is packed with eighteen easy-to-read, engaging guided meditations for school-aged children. This book is such a fabulous resource to teach children how to calm their minds and bodies so they are better able to deal with the stresses of their busy lives. I highly recommend this book to teachers, parents, yoga teachers, and health practitioners!Giselle ShardlowKids Yoga StoriesAuthor of yoga book for kids, including Anna and her Rainbow-Colored Yoga Mats (award-winning)

What I particularly love about Imaginations 3 is that there are parts that speak to the parent and parts that speak directly to the child who might be reading the book on his or her own. Carolyn takes the time to identify with the parent, the child and their every day routines, providing gentle suggestions as to how to best use the meditations and practices for optimal success. They're all lovely, great for everyday home use, classroom use and as an aid for your kids yoga classes, but my favorite is The Apple Tree. Have fun with this one, folks!

slow down busy thoughts and refocus in a fun and creative way
This latest book in this trilogy provides more imaginative stories for children to get excited about their journey of relaxation and stress relief. My 7 year old thoroughly enjoys "meditation story time" that we do at the end of the day. These guided meditations truly help my kiddo to relax, slow down busy thoughts and refocus in a fun and creative way. This book and the author's other 2 are incredible tools that I recommend using as resources for developing relaxation and mindfulness skills in children.

Book wonderful packaging unnecessary.
This product is really lovely and worth every penny. i gave it to a young Mum in a very rural area of Canada, the Mum’s get together and home school up to age 12. She was thrilled with the book and they plan to use it as a group with the children. Could have done without being wrapped in plastic... just something more to polute the planet with.

Excellent!
As a kids yoga teacher I have found these guided meditation scripts very useful during relaxation at the end of each class.
