Purchased for soldering. It is made ok, the quality is medium not the strongest. That being said, it clamps well to a counter top. The light is very adjustable with a long usb lead. You will need a usb plug. The folding system is ok but not the best. Overall say that, the light works well, with a light force will be able to position it into the correct place. It is worth buying..

I bought to replace an existing anglepoise-style lamp. Not only did this provide similar light, it even fitted in the same base (a 12mm hole). Assembly is pretty simple - little more than unfolding - and the supplied desk mount would work well. Note that there is a desk thickness limit of about 5cm. It doesn't come with a power supply - instead you use a USB power supply/phone charger. It needs quite a high power charger as, in my tests, it draws about 1.75 Amps. That would mean that a USB charging point on a mains extension or a spare port on a computer isn't really up to the job.There is a control in the cable (not anywhere on the body of the lamp, as with many of the other products of this type) offering On/Off, brightness and light temperature button which changes the brightness/white colour (including bright white and a rather please yellow hue).The angle of the lamp can be adjusted at the elbow and there is a slightly awkward thumb screw to fix it in place. The light itself can be rotated on the axis and from the pivot point.Overall, it pretty good - easy to use and bright enough. Just make sure you get a bit enough USB power adapter.

Replacing a power-hungry fluorescent lamp, this is an excellent product. With clean looks and ease of positioning, the many light settings allow for optimum quality of illumination according to personal taste.

It is easily able to light up a whole desk with many brightness levels and different colors. The arm of the light is of high quality and is easily adjustable.

Love that tou can dim as well as change the warmth.

This light could cause a cheap underpowered adapter to catch fire or even explode!ALSOYou might need to buy a USB extension Cable as the fitted cable is very short.#####No power Supply Provided.There are many diferent types of USB chargers, Hubs . . . and devices with USB Sockets!No clear instructions or warnings are given on what NOT to use.Several reviewers refer to 'chargers' getting hot . . . the light turning itself on and off etc. — signs that the USB adapter is not adequate to power the lamp.I opened my lamp, installed on the desk and after an hour it turned itself off! Turned it back on and it turned off again. Repeated the process once more thinking the switch might be faulty (some reviews report this).I then checked the mains powered USB adapter . . . it was hot and its built in circuit protection had turned off the power to the lamp. Found a higher rated USB adapter and thus far it has worked without problem.##### Length of CableThe USB cable is specified as 59" in one the photos in the description — BE AWARE the cable supplied is approx. 40" . . . believe me that 20" extra length makes a big difference when trying to connect to a socket under a desk! You may need to order a USB extension cable!##### Power on/off indicatorWhen turned OFF there is a bright blue led on permanently. Turn the light on . . . no power indicator light (although the lamp itself is lit!) . . . turn it off & BLUE LED returns.##### ConstructionMade from thin aluminium painted black. Aluminium is a soft metal and so you should avoid over-tightening locking adjusters etc. and definitely loosen them before adjusting the position of the lamp (should you need to do so).###### LightTwo strips of LEDs in the head of the lamp — 1 is bright white the other warm white. The 3 modes are obtained areBright White ON — Warm White OFFBright White OFF — Warm White ONBright White ON — Warm White ONOverall the light provided is fairly good.

Pros: Very flexible mount and great brightness.Cons: Plug was very loose in socket of extension cord and slightest movement would cause light to quit. Lamp died when I tried to turn it on tonite. Blinked and that was it. 9 months old. Would NOT buy again.

I love the way it just attaches on the table or desk or what ever surface that you're using AND i also like the way you toggle between brightness or different light settings.Most likely will buy again.

I've been a bit cautious when looking at desk lamps because I wanted to make sure I got one that's bright as my room itself is a bit dark. This one solves that issue perfectly. The multiple modes for different lighting are nice (especially if you want a more warmer light during the evening).The lamp is very adjustable and retains its positioning well. I use it for both an overhead light just above the top of my monitor, and I also bend it down close to the desk for electronics repair (cat-chewed wires mainly). The light-bar part can rotate 360 degrees, so if you wanted a desk lamp with the ability to point straight up, you've found it!I'm also a big fan of the lamp being entirely powered by USB. I have it plugged into a usb dock currently.Only gripe I have is I wish the top portion of the light could rotate left to right. As it is, if you want the light parallel with your monitor or desk, the base (or optional mountain bracket that came with it) will need to be on that same line.Overall awesome lamp!

Es muy práctica, cumple con su función que es iluminar perfectamente y un diseño que no molesta como otras lámparas de mesa.Ni te percatas que existe, pues a no ser de cazoleta, no molesta a la vista ni interfiere.Y las diferentes iluminaciones fría y caliente, junto a las diferentes potencias me encantan.La recomiendo y que conste que no me pagan por hablar positivamente de ella. ;)

Ist in jede Richtung verstellbar und ich meine in jede Richtung sehr gut. Sie hat 3 verschiedene Lichtsorten von weich bis mittel lassen sie sich über einen Dimmer heller und dunkler schalten. Der Schalter ist glaube ich selbst Erklärent. Gut ist das blaue Licht am Schalter das man ihn Nachts schnell findet.Die Befestigung am Schreibtisch oder Regal ist optimal gelöst.Vom Aufbau her und Funktion ist nichts zu meckern, alles solide, schlicht und schick.
