What I do know...
Although I am not much of a golfer, I do enjoy the game and like it even more when I can find my ball after I drive it ;-) All you couple-times-year golfers know what I am talking about. I'm happy when I can drive a ball to a point I am aiming for, unfortunately I slice and duff into the ruff more than not. These hi-vis balls make it easier for me to track.Additionally, when I drive the Lazrus, I have a better feel of the club striking the ball. It may be the matte finish (which I like more), or it may be the color which keeps me focused on keeping my eye on the tee'd ball through the swing, or maybe its the fact I am practicing and getting out more that has improved my accuracy, I don't know. Whatever it is, I am attributing to this ball so I'll stick with what it works. On top of that, these balls are a good deal and has encouraged me to use the new balls over the bucket-in-the-basement balls that I don't mind losing on the course (maybe that's why my driving has improved...hmm). I'll stick with the older balls for my mid-game which I haven't had a problem with. As for putting, there is a slight difference in the putt that is probably due to the matte finish. Not saying that's it good or bad, but you may need to adjust your putt and/or put some more hours on the putting green to feel confident with these Lazrus balls. My review is from the perspective of a novice who gets out on the course or range less than once a month. A regular golfer, who knows the intricacies of the game may feel different. With that, I am giving these balls five stars.

Good choice, good price
I was initially reluctant to try these golf balls, as I usually stick to my favorite premium brands. However, my skepticism quickly vanished after opening my round with four consecutive pars! As a mid-handicap golfer, I found they felt amazing off the clubface, delivering distances comparable to my usual performance without needing to double-check. They strike a great balance between softness and control, holding well on the greens, and provided a smooth, satisfying feel for putting. With a three-piece construction, these balls have a slightly different cover texture—it feels a bit slicker compared to the premium balls I’m accustomed to. Performance-wise, they remind me of Kirkland’s 3-piece model, offering solid distance and spin, though they don’t quite have the same soft feel as a ProV1 or similar high-end options. The durability also impressed me; after a full round, there were minimal scuffs or wear, which is a nice bonus. Although they aren’t the softest balls out there, they deliver a dependable feel on the greens. In Summary: These balls bring both quality and distance, making them a great choice overall. They’ve quickly become one of my top picks, and I find myself reaching for them over ProV1s more often now. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a solid, affordable option! Plus, the bright red color is fantastic for visibility in the rough or among fallen leaves.

Seemed to get more distance.
I played a round today with these balls. My first drive was exceptional distance, something I was not expecting. In fact, I put two of these balls into lakes because I was getting extra yards on my shots.I liked them off my irons but did have some difficulty adjusting to putting with them. Of course that could be my play but I certainly made less pars than normal. We play at a coastal golf course and start in the early morning when it is often a little foggy. I was thinking the bright red would be easier to spot in pre-dawn light but this did not pan out. The other guys white or yellow balls could be seen at a much greater distance. In full sun, the red was very distinctive.

A popular Choice
I got these to give out as prizes at our charity golf tournament. They were a popular choice. They reportedly have great speed, distance, and control. Some people loved the red color, but others thought they were a little harder than to follow.

Durability and manufacturing is TERRIBLY inconsistent.
I played these for 2 full rounds of 18, often playing the same exact shots for comparison with my usual gamer, titleist avx yellows. The feel was decent, and the ball flight was similar on the woods through mid irons. Distances, however, were incredibly inconsistent. I feel like it was actually a little longer off the tee with woods / 2 iron, but in the shorter irons in particular (9 and wedges) I was often a full club to 1.5 clubs short. Seemed SUPER spinny with the short irons as well with the ball going insanely high. Perhaps you could get used to it... Or those who struggle with getting height on their wedges to stop on greens could find it useful. But, by FAR the biggest issue is the lack of durability and/or the manufacturing issues. The pictures are some examples... The first ball was literally only used on 1 hole - 3 wood, 50 degree wedge from the fairway and 2 putts. The wedge just SHREDDED the cover of the ball. This happened at least 20-30% of the time with full wedge shots. But, i also had a ball that lasted 9 holes and still looked relatively new. I've never shredded an avx like that in hundreds and hundreds of wedge shots. The second and third ball show a manufacturing issue in the dimple patterns. These are both brand new, never hit. Of the 12 balls i was sent, 4 had similar issues before they were used. The last 2 are just more pictures of the excessive wear. These are not a "premium" ball at all and would have a hard time standing up to even budget balls at 1/3rd the price from the big manufacturers, in my opinion.
