Strong and nice looking.
This self is strong and nice looking. The frame is metal and the shelves are particle board. I like that the angled.shelves can also.be made flat, by using an additionally predrilled hole for that option. I currently have a lot of weight on these shelves with no issues.

Not a fan
Got this for my wife to display her late grandfather’s records. It was annoying to put together. It’s okay I guess sturdy enough. She likes it but maybe I don’t like it cause how annoying it was to put together.

Has a nice modern look!
This record player has an attractive contemporary/ modern look. It was relatively easy to put together. I like the wood and metal finish and especially the color of the wood stain---- matches very well in any decor.

Terrible product. Save your money
This record shelf is probably one of the worst products I’ve ordered off Amazon. I’m going to try to keep this simple but please know you should stay away from this product, no matter how cool you think it looks. Reference pictures for everything I’m about to mention:1. It comes so poorly packed that the metal pieces are all scratched and the particle boards have chipped corners and scratches too.2. The installation manual is terrible. Pictures barely explain what to do and it’s up to you to figure out direction of the bars, shelves, and several other steps. Also, all screws and small parts come mixed up in a bag, so you have to dig out every little screw you need from the pile.3. After putting this piece together and trying to put some records on, OH SURPRISE! The “V shape” shelves don’t fit standard 12” records. Only the top one “V shape” shelf and the middle and bottom shelves from the other side can hold 12” records.4. Considering the particle board is only being held by thin wood screws, it’s safe to assume that over time, the weight of your records, books or whatever you decide to put on this will end up damaging or stripping the particle boards.5. If you still decide you want to order this and try it for yourself, make sure you have someone to help you put this piece together because this is worse than an IKEA build.

No. Do not purchase to store records.
The images in this listing are fake. This product was too good to be true... look closely at the photos of 90-degree setup with the records on the shelf: it is photoshopped.Records will not fit on the shelf as shown in the listing photo. The the last picture I have attached to this review - look how high a normal-sized record sits. I realized this halfway through assembling the product and really wish I hadn't wasted my time. This is too big/bulky, and I've already spent a lot of time assembling... so I'm going to try and figure out something to do with this.Don't make the mistake I did. This is not for records.Beyond the product literally not functioning as advertised, here are the rest of my observations. It came in packed in lightweight Styrofoam, which was good enough to protect everything from scratches/chips. But the packing material is really light weight (not like the stuff you'd get with a TV, for example). I cannot complain about this, but it may depend on your delivery driver. The "wood boards" seem like they would be strong enough to not bend over time due to the weight of a full shelf of records. They are somewhat short, and in "90-degree mode" the weight of the records is supported by 2 boards. I have had terrible experience with MDF boards and records in the past - but I do think these boards would work (if the 90-degree mode actually worked). **If properly attached/supported to the framework. The metal frame is really thin for the amount of weight it is supposed to hold. See pictures: the cross-bars are held in place with 2 tiny welds. The walls of the metal support pieces are very thin.Critically, the way the screws tap into the MDF board is not acceptable: they are just thin screws that grip directly into the "board." MDF can be strong if designed the right way, but it is almost like sawdust-compressed together with glue. For longevity there should be something recessed into the board for the screw (ideally not a screw) to go into. Higher quality pieces have a metal nut sunken into the hold, and a bolt that threads into it. The threads do NOT come in direct contact with the particle-board. With this design it is likely that (over time or perhaps very quickly) the screw will chew away at the wood particles - and the shelf will become wobbly, and fail. With the boards assembled it feels "okay," but with 100 records on the shelf I don't think it would hold up to someone bumping into one of the ends - and putting lateral stress on the screws.Even the hinges are cheaply made (see photo).I really wanted to like this. It looks good! If you were just using it to hold a few little action figures or something, given the price, I wouldn't be so harsh on it. But this product is specifically marketed to hold RECORDS - which are heavy. And expensive. This piece is not suited to hold your record collection. If you just want it for the looks, understand the construction situation I've described, and wanted to use it for CD's or something lightweight... that might be okay. This product seemed too good to be true for the price, and it was.
