Unique and exceptional lamp for close up work, as an artist, this the perfect lamp.

I liked it for its general look, it looks an older type light ( which for me is very good ) , it’s nice and bright, it’s not shiny ( I wouldn’t have wanted the paint shiny ), it’s the right height, I can move the shade to and fro if I’m finding it too bright, like the red fabric lead. It’s good that the lead is just long enough to reach an extension lead that I use for various appliances.On the negative side, it was easy enough to put together - but - you need to be ever so careful connecting the base section with the next piece up. The lead is inside the tube coming down from the light. As you screw the bottom tube into the base it twists the lead. When assembled it needs to be untwisted, it would be ever so easy to damage the lead whilst doing this. I feel that the company should send it in a bigger box already assembled . They make a point of saying that a broken lead means it can’t be replaced. They create this problem themselves by assembling the light at the top, with the lead coming down through, with the preassembled plug at the end. At the moment there is no easy way to assemble it without twisting the lead. I am careful .Having said that I managed it by using great care. The base could have been heavier as it tends to tilt. As I have it between two armchairs it secures it in place. I am pleased with it.

This lamp was to replace an old one, similar style. When it arrived it was in lots of little pieces, you have to put them all together - not like a normal reading light which comes in about 3 or 4 pieces. When assembled, this looked cheap and lightweight. I wouldn't buy it again, nor would I recommend it. It looks tacky!

Arrived on time. Well packaged. Easy to assemble. Looks great. Sturdy. Perfect for what i needed. Ordered pack of bulbs as well as does not come with bulb.

Serves its purpose as needed, though immediately had to go and buy a 2nd bulb for it, as the PWM was driving me crazy with the one it came with. The poles don't all line up perfectly during assembly, but again it is extremely cheap and serves its purpose. I could have spent 4x as much on something with similar functionality.The shade on it is very big, which is very nice. most of these floor standing lights have no shade, and you end up with a big glaring lightbulb in your face, not a lamp illuminating the area you want. This nicely illuminates my desk, and the shade prevents me from being able to look directly at the lamp.

Simple to put together, don't expect the best, but does what it should and looks alright.
