This would be lovely as a classroom reward system all that’s needed is a small container to keep the stars in. When a pupil does a good piece of work, or an act of kindness, they choose a star (there are 5 different colours) and adds it to the jar. When all the stars have been used (or the teacher can decide on a fewer number to start with, to ensure quick success) the whole class can have the agreed reward. A few minutes extra play at the end of playtime was popular in our school-the class watches all the other children going in to lessons while they play adds to the reward! It could be used at home just as easily, and progress towards the reward is very visual. The jar is made of composite wood, with an acrylic type window. It came boxed, and the stars and stand needed pressing out of their strips. It seems well made.

Overall really nice item, as described and my little boy loves it. Only problem was upon arrival it had come unstuck on one side which is a bit disappointing. Still functions but I imagine the split could get worse with continued use.

The stars slot inside the fairly flat wooden jar shape and are great for classroom and home rewards. There are 5 strips of coloured stars made from acrylic and the jar and stand are made with balsa wood and clear acrylic. The jar is a good size for standing on a desk top or a shelf. This could be used for toileting or behaviour rewards or simply for celebrating good days! I really like this idea - it is simple and yet so effective and well priced at £11.99.
