Tight clamp
Got something you want to stay put? This is your answer. Can really tighten the deal down and it stays. Can undo the clip, but that's a bit of a trick if you really have it tight. Clipping off excess seems to clip it low and close enough not a high risk of cutting your self on the terminal end, but be careful. Will go good on friends boat, was a Christmas present.

Excellent quality
The media could not be loaded. I prefer using stainless steel cable ties for heavy-duty projects, especially outdoors, since sunlight degrades plastic zip ties, making them brittle. The biggest challenge with metal zip ties has always been tightening and cutting them without injuring myself. Before I got this kit, I used pliers to tighten the ties, but it wasn’t easy or precise. To cut them, I used industrial metal scissors, which required multiple hard squeezes to get through. This stainless steel zip tie gun makes both tasks incredibly simple. I just loosely fasten the self-locking stainless steel cable tie, thread the long end through the tool, and squeeze it like pliers until it’s tight. Then, I pull the cutting rod upward to easily and cleanly cut off the end. The result is a perfectly tightened zip tie with no sharp edges sticking out (which always posed a risk of cuts). The Cable Tie Gun Kit, which includes 1 stainless steel cable tie gun and 150 UV-resistant heavy-duty metal zip ties, has been extremely useful for securing items in my garden. This kit provides an efficient and reliable way to fix things, and it’s excellent value for money.

Not quite what I thought it would be.
Yes, it's metal zip ties. I get that. And yes, they tighten nicely using the tool provided. I have 2 issues though.1) The zip ties are SHARP. Not just on the end after you clip it. Everywhere. I used the tools for about an hour give or take and had to put on 7 band-aids (plasters for non US people). I put on my leather work gloves but they were to think to use the items properly.2) The tool they give you to re-open the zip tie? Very small, very weak and it doesn't work. I used more than 60 ties, and only 7 were able to be taken off. And I was smart enough to used work gloves this time.Unless you REALLY need metal ties, I would stick with the plastic ones. Or even duck tape. Heck, I'd use Elmers school glue before I use these again.

This is the second one of these cable type guns that I've had the chance to use and it's definitely better. It's easier to use and easier to understand as well.I would recommend

Heavy Duty Way to Secure Loose Items
I specifically used this to tie together some loose curtain rods that were scattered about my closet, but there are several other uses for this tie kit.Securing loose wires, outdoor decorations, crafts, various construction projects and the list goes on.Looping the metal tie through the fastener takes a bit of care – you need to line it up perfectly, or it won’t insert easily. Once inserted, pull the excess tie out far enough to fit fully in the tightening tool…this step requires enough of the metal tie to fit through the tool so it can grab on to it and pull the metal tie tight as the tightening tool handle is squeezed. Once to the desired tightness, hold the tightening handle in place and use the snipping feature to make a nice clean cut of the excess metal tie, and voila, secured items!
