Thank you!
The only reason I did not give this product a 5 star review is because I have yet to make the lamp I bought this for. When I opened my mailbox, the mailman had stuffed the package into the box and the product's actual packaging was damaged. However, all the parts appear to be in order! If this works (and I'm sure it will), then I will definitely buy this product again! Please note that I am not blaming the seller for product's packaging damage. This was probably done by the mailman on accident. Here in a couple of weeks when I make the lamp and product does not work, I will get on and leave the seller feedback. However, I am confident it is everything I need it for! Seems very sturdy!!

One had obviously been returned, I should have sent it back.
I bought two for my old lamps. One worked good, the second had a rubber band around the package and had been opened. The switch had been messed up but I finally got it to work. Instructions are not very clear.

Easy Peasy
This is a lamp kit for both wiring a lamp for the first time and re-wiring a lamp. In my case, only the part that had the switch was bad, so I didn't have to pull the wire through the lamp, etc.It was actually very easy. I've never re-wired a lamp and I didn't have any trouble. The instructions were clear. I was a little nervous because it's, after all, electricity, but it worked fine. One tip, if you are using this kit to replace the switch and wish to use the existing cord, you will need wire snips and a way to strip the plastic off the wire to attach to the switch.

Rehabbed my wife's lamp for under $10.
I needed a switch and cord for my wife's early 1950's lamp. I bought this because a cord and switch was about $1 less than the sum of this set. Before the rehab was done, I found out I also needed to replace the sleeve around the switch. So, for under $10 I rehabbed my lamp and had the bulb assembly base, a piece of threaded tube, a threaded female trim piece and the shade mount to add to my wife's crafts etc. collection. Most, if not all, parts made in the U.S.A..

Not too difficult to figure out
Directions are a bit difficult to follow, but they are what's on the back of the package, so I've had to use the very same sort of instructions previously. If you have no knowledge of electronics it may be off-putting, but really, it's not that difficult to put together and works just like the old one did before going out on me.

good quality
I had a old lamp with a old man sitting with his cane fishing pole. My wife loved it but the original shade and shade holder were destroyed. This along with a new shade did the trick. Was pretty easy to install. I just had to use some of my wire pulling lubricant to slide the wire down the wire tube.Pros: Easy fixCons: None so far.

EASY PEASY!!
I was hesitant to buy this because the photo image has the light socket pointing the wrong direction and therefore it didn't look like what I needed. I took a risk and ordered it anyway. It was SUPER EASY!!! Seriously easy peasy stuff folks! The directions were easy to follow and pretty darn quick to assemble.I had two lamps that had not worked for months due to some electrical issue in the lamp. The repair shop wanted to charge $40 just to look at ONE and give an estimate. I tried it DIY style and fixed them both for less than $20~

Good for the price.
I used this to make a custom lamp out of a piece of black walnut I purchased on ebay. The kit worked fine and I ended up spray painting it to give it a oil rubbed bronze look. It does not come with the rod that usually houses the wire inside the lamp. I was able to pick it up at home depot in the lamp section.
