Smart, Accurate, and Easy to Use: WYZE Cam v4 Exceeds Expectations
eliable, Easy-to-Use, and Packed with Features: WYZE Cam v4 is a Winner!I recently purchased the WYZE Cam v4 and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance! Whether you're using it for home security, as a pet cam, or a baby monitor, this little camera does it all—and it does it accurately and effortlessly.Accurate Detection:The motion detection on this camera is spot-on. It quickly picks up movement and sends real-time alerts with minimal lag. The accuracy means fewer false alarms, which I really appreciate. Whether it's monitoring the front door or checking in on my pets, I can rely on it to notify me exactly when something happens.Crystal-Clear Image Quality:With 2.5K resolution, the video quality is excellent both during the day and at night. The color night vision is a standout feature—clear and detailed even in low light. I can easily make out faces, license plates, or my dog’s little adventures in the backyard after dark.User-Friendly Setup & App:Setting up the WYZE Cam v4 was super simple. The app is intuitive, making it easy to view footage, adjust settings, and speak through the 2-way audio. It integrates seamlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant, which adds even more convenience to my routine.Great for Indoor or Outdoor Use:I love the versatility—this cam works perfectly both inside and outside. The motion-activated spotlight and siren are strong additions for extra security around entry points or dark corners of the yard.Overall Thoughts:If you're looking for an affordable, easy-to-use, and accurate security camera packed with high-end features, the WYZE Cam v4 is a fantastic choice. It delivers way more than you’d expect at this price point. Highly recommend!

Great value for a single cam .SD compatible !
Great little camera on a budget! If you only need 1 camera its perfect, just make sure you buy a separate SD card 256gb if you're lazy like me. You can buy cloud storage for as low as 1.67 per month or 19.99 for a year. Lots of upsell on the subscription. There's no stolen device protection from Wyze so use it indoors only. If you're looking for cloud storage, multiple cameras and or doorbells, you need to get ring brand. Wyze has much lower upfront cost but kills you in subscription. Just remember if you need cloud storage for more than 1 device its wayyy cheaper in the long run with ring. Wyze cam plus=$1.67(single)camera unlimited=$10.84 monthly $129.99 year or unlimited pro $25.99 monthly or $259.99 for a year paid in advance. Unlimited has 14rolling day storage and can distinguish people vs cars animals ect. Pro has the same but with 60 day storage , face recognition descriptive alerts and emergencydispatch-Ring =$5.00 (single) $10.00 (2+devices). Setup was super easy.

Incredible Camera
I bought the WYZE Cam v4 to install in my parents’ home for extra security, and I’m beyond impressed! I love the new gray and black color combination, it looks modern and sleek, blending in nicely with the room. The color output is beautiful, and the 2-way audio is a big improvement over the previous model, making it easy to talk to my parents when I’m away. What I really love is that this camera has everything I need without a subscription. Motion-activated spotlight, siren, color night vision, and crystal-clear video quality, all at such an affordable price. I didn’t expect a camera at this price point to perform so well, but it really does!I feel safer knowing my elderly parents are well-protected. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, feature-packed security camera!

Overall good, but some descriptive trickery that I don't appreciate
Main thing, these are good quality cameras. Very small and compact, easily blends into its surroundings and not easy to pick out as a security cam. Picture quality is outstanding and feature set is unbelievable. So for what it's made for, it's a great get for the price. The description is a bit misleading though. Read through the specs and features and it sounds like you're getting all these features out of the box....INCORRECT. You get those features if you pay for a monthly cloud subscription. That is all well and good, but that should be in the descriptive copy, easy to find before purchase. Now, other negative reviews say that you can't record activity without paying....that is not true. You can if you use a micro SD card. Finding the recorded clips isn't straightforward though. When you get notified of movement and open the app, it shows the live view at top and a cascading list of alerts below. Tapping those events pulls up a still frame from the alert period and tapping the play button below that prompts you to subscribe. HOWEVER, you can back up to the main screen, tap the SD shortcut and get a list clips that correspond to those alert times and then play back the recorded video. That allows you very basic security features without subscribing. One big issue there is that there is a 5 minute cooldown period between alerts. Meaning if there is an alert at 10:00, the camera records 30 seconds or so of video, then it won’t alert again until 10:05 regardless of what happens in front of the camera. On the surface, I get that limitation, however I can also see where it could bite you…..a bird flies in front of the camera and alerts at 10:00, then some jackleg walks up and kicks your door down and steals your stuff at 10:02. Guess you’re out of luck. One other bit of info that isn’t given – this camera is billed as indoor/outdoor, which leads me to believe I can buy one, take it out of the box and mount it on the side of my house. Seems straightforward, but no…it comes with a cheap, cell phone type charge cable and wall plug and the first page of instructions says ‘for outdoor use you need xxxx outdoor power supply’….which of course is $20. So your $30 camera turns into a $50 camera if you want to use it outdoors. That’s fine, but say that in the description.I’ll keep these and use them….will just keep big SD cards in them so I can actually play back clips without paying extra. The app seems pretty feature rich (if you pay) and works well. No problems so far. One feature you do have access to is setting notifications and how sensitive the alert features are for movement and sound, so that’s a good thing. So for very basic security cameras, these work fine. Also, if you’re OK paying per month for features they’re very good. Otherwise you might keep looking.
