Sturdier then I expected , a great addition to my outdoor cook space
Quillvox campfire grill grate with swivel handle is a great addition my outdoor cook space. It was very easy to assemble, the directions are clear and easy to follow. The base that goes into the ground is 11 inches long and went into the ground well, the depth of the spikes really helped with stability. The cooker grill worked perfectly just the right size, and was easy to clean afterwards. I did not believe that the hook and unit would hold a cast iron cooking pot filled , but it did . The unit is much more stable then I anticipated. I love that it is adjustable, and the rotating arm feature is really nice. The only thing that could be improved is the handle length, overall very pleased with this product.

Works Great
Still a little bulky when folded down but works great when set up. I camp a few times a month most of the year and i can see this working great for longer trips.

Feel like the central pole material is just too thin for this application
Ordered this QuillVox Campfire Grill Grate with Swivel Handle, Fire Pit Grill Grate to install next to our fire pit thinking it would be easy to install. The ground was too solid though so I will need to drill it out... Did set this up and take it out there but fail to actually get it working quite yet.I like the wood handles and the idea of having two different attachments to the same pole. This attaches to the ground with a base spike as well as 2 spikes out to the side and welded to the center pole. A second set of two spikes attaches on top which would be a total of 5 spikes. Based on it's weight I think that would be enough if you the plan was to use this on a lawn or in semi-soft dirt. For my application a simple pole without the spikes would have been better. The main reason I cannot recommend this product is the nature of the central pole. It comes in 3 pieces with metal attachments that you screw in the thin poles to in both directions. This resulted in a pole that was not straight, easily could unscrew which would affect the position of the fire shelves. Thin material, in multiple pieces is just got a good design unless this is meant as a portable lawn / picnic setup. Can't possibly imagine it can handle 50 lbs.

Great addition to my camping kit!
The "QuillVox Campfire Grill" is a great addition to my camping kit. Previously, I would bring a tripod grill for backup when I go camping but the last time I found myself at a campsite without a grill, my friend struggled to keep the grill from swinging. This will be a much better 'back up grill' solution for such a situation.I typically camp around Florida, where the soil is mostly sand. I can't comment on how it drives through harder or rocky soil but it works well in Florida. The grate and the hook are both height-adjustable so it is easy to use over a firepit or a ground-level fire. The grate has rather large openings, so we used it along with a grilling basket which worked out very well.I do not suggest leaving this outside, as we can already see some rust starting to form after about a week outside. This is mostly around the area where the hook and grates were positioned, so the tightener probably scratched the rust-resistant coating; a little bit of rust color was also observed at the top where we hit it with the hammer which likely damaged the rust-resistant coating as well.

Just got it, already love it.
I love the deep penetration of the ground-stakes and the heavy duty metal craftsmanship. I can flame broil heavy meat even without hanging a pot to balance the stand. The height adjustment lets me cook over any fire, including a park-grill. I never let my food touch a park-grill. This grill stows easily in my micro motorhome so I no longer need to carry as much. You will love it too.

not bad
seems sturdy. the arms seem strong. the wood handle is nice to give heat resistance. would be nice if arms were a little longer. but for a little camp cook area its not bad.
