Great Pergola Addition to Backyard
The media could not be loaded. Was looking to add a pergola in our backyard for the summer. We came across the Aoxun style pergola. The pergola is lightweight and was simple to assemble. The instructions were clear to follow. Have a ratchet and wrench available to easily tighten screws. The construction did require at least two of us to keep the bases stable and aligned. Then to raise the pergola and put in the base legs, it did require 4 people so make sure to have enough the extra help for the final portion. Took about 2 hours to sort and get everything together. The shade is attached on hooks and opens and closes the shade easily with the handle strap. Overall the assembly and use is simple and the pergola is a great addition to our yard.

If you live in high wind areas, consider a heavier pergola
Size is great, easy to set up,it works well for the area,,both sturdiness and quality could be a little more stronger, I wanted something a little heavier but I managed to prop it against the deck and tie down.

It was a bit of a pain to put together
It was a pain to put together even with 3 of us working on it but, after multiple hours, it’s up and it looks good. If you tighten the screws too much then it does warp the metal a bit but we were able to quickly remedy that by loosening the screws again. Definitely pay close attention to the pictures. We had a few times where we had to move and rearrange pieces because we put them on backwards or upside down and didn’t realize it until a few steps later. The magnets on the canvas are a bit finicky and don’t hold as well as I would like but overall it’s not a bad piece considering what I paid for it. My fingers are crossed that it will last us a while.

Stylish Design, but Lacks Sturdiness
I have mixed feelings about the Aoxun 10'x12' Outdoor Pergola. On the positive side, I love the concept and the design. The adjustable canopy that can slide back and forth is a great feature, and the size of the pergola is perfect for our backyard. For the price, it offers decent value, especially in terms of aesthetics. However, there are several downsides. First, the pergola is extremely lightweight, which raises concerns about its durability. The instructions were not clear, and the pictures were hard to interpret, which led me to take it apart and reassemble it a few times. One solution I found for the lightweight issue was to fill and compact sand in each of the pole legs, and that has helped it stay grounded during strong winds. Despite this, the structure still doesn’t feel very sturdy.Another issue I’ve encountered is with the retractable shade. It’s supposed to be held in place by magnets, but the magnets are too weak to keep it open or closed. I ended up using zip ties to rig it so the shade stays in the desired position. On the plus side, the shade is designed with holes to drain water when it rains, which is a nice feature. While I do like how it looks in my garden, the pergola does not appear as sturdy as it does in the pictures. I don’t think it’s suitable for anyone looking for a long-term structure. Based on my experience, I’d estimate it might last me about three years. For those seeking a more permanent or durable pergola, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
Took me less than three hours to put the frame together and in place. Took much MUCH LONGER to get that silly sunshade together and installed. 😂 But now that I have done it correctly, I think it should be less than an hour.I did most of the work by myself, I had my 14 year old help me move the frame from the open grass onto my patio. It’s light but cumbersome for one person.Used planters and rocks to keep the posts in place—I may actually drill into the patio and get rid of the planters, but that should be easy.Very easy to understand instructions for the most part. Four upright posts, four spanning beams, three rails for what amounts to curtain rods for the fabric sunshade. A long screw for one end of the middle curtain rod to hold a curtain glider/runner in place, and a metal bracket and magnets to hold the curtain open when fully extended on the other end (for whatever reason, my brain kept thinking those were reversed—when I finally figured it out it was dark outside, took five minutes the next day to fix). Remember the fabric pull handle will pull toward the magnets/bracket!I did this on a Saturday; Sunday morning was easy…like Sunday mornings should be. 👍

Love this pavilion
I am very happy with this pergola. This was the cheapest pergola we saw while shopping so we decided to take the plunge. It's light but it's strong. It was easy to assemble. It took my father and me more than two hours to complete it. I placed it in the backyard and it has a removable roof, which is very convenient. Overall, we are very happy with it.
