Helped me feel safe again
I’m pretty happy with this film now that it’s been up for a week. I purchased the silver/black. My main purpose was to make it so no one could see in my house during the day after my inbred, white trash neighbors broke into my house.I was pleasantly surprised with the heat blocking effect it had during the day. Before my purchase, I was concerned about it looking strange with the outer mirror effect but, you can’t even tell unless you stand in front of the window and see your own reflection. The installation was super annoying for me because I’ve never tinted any window before. Plus, I had no help bc my husband’s backside is attached to the bed lol Because of his absolute laziness when it comes to all work home-related, I’ve become fairly handy when it comes to new tasks like this. However, I’m definitly not saying it’s not tedious as hell. The directions tell you to remove the protective film from the mirror side, apply the film to the window and then reapply the protective film to the back before smoothing it on to avoid scratches. This is a major design flaw to me. The protective film isn’t smooth and has this tacky, “grabby” surface that makes it difficult to use anything to smooth on the window film and get out the bubbles. So, there will be scratches on your film. Personally I found no way to avoid this. I even bought a tinting kit that had the scrapers that you apply felt or suede to and used an entire spray bottle of water to no avail. I’ve gotten over the scratches for the most part but honestly-deep down in my nit-picky, subconscious heart it does slightly bother me.After I thought I had smoothed out all the bubbles, I could see this blue haze under the film. This is water and will go away over a few days. The film from the inside during the day gives a slight blurring, mosaic effect. The tint dims my house kind of like a pair of cheap black, sunglasses from a gas station. Light kind of looks like it’s a gray day outside. And at night it’s creepy bc you can’t see out unless you’re very close to the window. It looks like a black piece of plexi glass and with lights on you can see your reflection better than you can see outside. And yes, you can see from the outside in at night.Would I do this again? Right now I would say yes. My neighbors broke in during the day and they obviously cased my house during the day. I feel like the crackheads would’ve probably been more chicken to break in if they couldn’t have seen in at all. But that’s my thinking- I’m not some thieving drug addict, though. Having this film gave me the confidence to open my curtains again during the day and feel some kind of normalcy after having my home’s sanctity violated. Will I leave this up during the winter? Probably not. It’s summer right now so it’s bright out, in the south so we’re averaging 90 degrees out per day so the film is helpful for temperature. In winter, it’s darker quicker so the tint may make it too dark in my house. Plus, the scratches- yes, I’m still thinking about that lol And I’m not sure if I’ll be able to overlook them forever. They’re not horrible but, when the light hits them just right it grates my perfection nerves.I probably will take it down when I feel completely at ease again. My neighbors moved out 3 days after they broke in and I confronted them. I also walked the whole neighborhood and told all my neighbors that they were casing the neighborhood during the day while most people were at work. I had the police driving through the neighborhood constantly and they even parked in my driveway sometimes. That helped them decide that they needed to move ASAP and that their break-in and drug gig was up in our quiet little neighborhood. I say all of this for the other victims out there looking for comfort after a break-in. This window film really did aid in helping me feel comfortable in and away from my home again. So, in my opinion, totally worth the money and headache of hanging..and scratches.. Definitely shell out the extra $13 for a tinting kit because this film doesn’t offer any applicators.

Great product
This window film really cuts down the heat. It looks like a mirror from outside during day time. The first picture shows how it looks from outside. the second picture shows how it looks from inside. You can still see the view and not too dark.

Good for privacy.
Love how I have more privacy now. We also have a pretty bright porch light outside so even at night, though it's not completely blocked out, you can't really see details unless you're trying to.It wasn't too bad installing, though there were some bubbles and dog hairs to deal with. Most of the bubbles were at least lessened by the next day though. (It's hard to get a picture of that). It darkened my entryway a lot.I used a ton of soapy water and it helped a lot. It's been about 10 days so far and I haven't seen any peeling yet, but I'll update if it does. All in all, I think it was a good buy and I would recommend it to others.

Excellent product
Good product. Excellent for privacy and keeps the sunlight from beaming through windows and heating up the house. I noticed a difference immediately after installation. Follow the instructions. I recommend turning off all fans to alleviate and dust particles from moving through the air and removing the protective cover next to the window that you are adhering the film. I also used a 12" drywall knife to hold the film flush to the window and keep the exacto knife straight for a professional look. Make sure you leave room for the water solution to clear the film, this will make it easier to squeegee air and solution.

Keeps the heat out and privacy in.
I started by putting this product on our sliding glass doors to stop heat from getting in. I liked it so much I bought it for our front windows and bedroom Windows. It works well and gives you complete privacy during the day.

UPDATE: Great Customer Service
Within no time of me reviewing this product customer service reached out to see what can be done to make my minor issue right. After a short email the sent me out a new roll so I can replace the tint. It was easy to install on my mother’s front storm door to help with the glare and heat. It definitely serves the purpose it was bought for but it is taking so getting used to when looking outside, bit dark compared to before but that’s what she wanted. My only complaint is that once the water dried out completely the tint shrank a bit. We made sure to have the tint installed sand cut properly, I’m a profectinst with everything and over the last few days we are noticing a small border around 2 sides that has no tint. Definitely recommend product to others

Keep prying eyes from looking !!
I love that now I can open my blinds during the day and not worry about people looking in. Loved the ease of installing this on my windows. The hardest part is measuring your window correctly. Smoothing it out was easy using an old debit card. It did not cause any scratches. Very reflective you can not see in. Cant wait to see how it keeps the house cool in summer. Good diy project!

Lots of bubbles. You may need a professional
The material felt like a great quality however the amount Of bubbles it produced was almost impossible to take them all out

Be prepared to spend time getting bubbles out to get a good finish! Worth it though.
It requires a little bit of extra time to be spent on it to get the bubbles out, also make sure the surface is very clean so specks of dust don't get caught under. Having said that if that does happen, just clean and reapply! It's very effective during the day, in terms of privacy but also in blocking some of the light out, like wearing sunglasses. I covered the studio outside but also on the bedroom upstairs, as it gets A LOT of sunlight in the summer and gets very hot, even with the curtains closed! Careful not to scratch it, make sure surface is always wet when fitting and going over bubbles. I used a squidgy that I already had to do the job.

A brilliant idea that really works!
This was shipped out quickly and it came well-packed. Very happy to have found this product as we are bothered by new oh-so-nosy neighbours! Our kitchen window overlooks their kitchen window, unfortunately, and we noticed they were always looking at us whenever we were in the kitchen. Our window is right above our stove so net curtains weren't a very good option, but this film works a treat! Now, we can still look outside but they can't see into our kitchen during the day. I'm thinking of doing our living room window as well because every time they are outside, I catch them looking in our windows! It was super easy to install and went on quite easily with water sprayed first on the window. Very happy and now I'm dancing around my kitchen instead of trying to duck and hide! lol

Good for privacy, effective for price.
Bought the film for a north-facing bedroom window. The lower panes in the window are low enough for houses opposite to see in. We have had to keep the curtains closed when getting changed etc.The end result is a room in darkness. This film allows keeping the curtains open during the day, as it pretty much stops any view in, as long as it is brighter outside than in. It's not an issue at night, as you'd close the curtains anyway. The first pane I did, I left a spec of dust, so I can still see it. I used a squegee on the 2nd window, before spraying more soapy water on both the window, and the film. Squeezed out excess bubbles, using a credit card wrapped in a micro-fibre cloth. Even so there seemed to be a bit of a bubbly finish when I was done. However, a couple of days later the end result is pretty flat. It's not 'optical quality', but it's good enough that we can't be bothered to order some sealed units with mirroring built-in. For the money. It's good.I see that some reviewers have had issues with the film falling off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we did use a bit of washing up soap in our water (ecover)... about the same concentration as used for washing up. Also, we did push out the bubbles with the card.... maybe that also pushes out the water, when there are no bubbles. Equally, it could be variation in product quality. At any rate it's still attached well one week later, and that's even with a bit of condensation on the windows, as you'll sometimes get in the morning.

It works would
Works just as expected and it reflects the sun away from my room and cuts down on the temperature but they is one down side to consider when buy it's not got a sticky surface but sticks to window as if it has and I flowed the instructions to well and my first attempt was bad and wasted half roll bit was easy to see what I did wrong after that just wish it didn't take half a roll doing so best tip is use water on window as applying the more the easyer it is to get bubbles out and no plastic tool with roll and its impossible to use with out

Window tint
Turned up earlier than expected, windows all cleaned and ready for the tint, found tint to be quite thick when getting ready, instructions pretty clear, followed them as instructed, and now have both front door side glass panels and front door glass tinted. Initially we thought it was very dark in the day light, but we are in the middle of winter on some dark days, but when the sun is out and it's very sunny, what a difference in the hallway. And when people knock at the door they can't see anything apart from there reflection which is an added bonus if you have nosey bloody neighbours like I have next to me.It is very dark at night tho, but like I say, we're getting used to it now. All in all, very happy
