Works good... installed drivers, shut down, installed card, reboot and working. 4 mins to install
Easy to install. Had to get drivers from the internet which was easy enough, extract into folder, and install.Brackets of different sizes included with screws.... ready to go. Heat-sink kinda small, but will see. Only up and running for 10 mins, but will see long haul use...Note: installed drivers first before installing card vs. installing card, and doing a manual search/install of drivers... On boot up, Windows detected and working immediately.Cons: No drivers included. No doc telling you where to get them.... internet search with Qnap solved this.Overall quick install. Always had good luck with Qnap equipment. Will update after all new gear installed to 10gbe, and see how the NIC is working down the road.Update March 14, 2021:Had just one minor issue with 10gbe card using the Aquantia 2.7.21.0 drivers for Windows 7.When powering my computer off, the computer would turn off normally. Then 5 or 10 minutes later the computer would start all by itself. After a couple days of this and only installing the card, I solved the issue. Several changes are made when installing the driver. First, in my bios it added the Aquantia for the QXG-10G1T network card to my 3rd boot option - I disabled this.Next, in my Windows 7 (Device Manager) looking under "Network Adapters", double clicking on Qnap QXG network card, going to "Power Management" tab at the top right of the box. Click on that, and UN-check the box that says allow the device to wake the computer, then close the boxes out back to your normal Windows desktop. After this, the strange behavior will stop and I was back to normal.

No muss, no fuss, it sustains 10GbE throughput with ease.
The Aquantia AQC-107 chip on this board is excellent full m-Gig.I have a few of these and they are all flawless. They work well with Linux. My NAS has an Intel X710-T2L in it feeding the main switch. Everything plays well together.Never had an issue.

Works if you install latest drivers first
I bought two of these. I shut the computer down, installed the card and the computer would not load windows. So...I removed it, booted up, installed the latest drivers from Aquantia's website (it uses an Aquantia chipset) and then re-installed it...and it runs fine.

Speed is good. Noise is bad.
Good speed boost compared to the native 2.5G connection on the QNAP TS-664. Unfortunately, the tiny cooling fan on the network card adds a high pitch loud noise to the otherwise quiet NAS box. Great if your NAS is tucked away someplace you can't hear it, but for me it needs to be nearby my desk and it is annoying.

Gives QNAP NAS incredible speeds of 10Gbps.
After taking apart the QNAP NAS and installing, getting the interface up required running both the built in Ethernet and the 10GbE network configured as I had to find the interface to run the Browser to the appropriate IP address. Once configured, It works great and it is the only interface I am using.

Two died after a few months!
I bought two of these 10GbE NICs and both died less than a year into use. The one in my Windows PC worked for 2-3 months, the one in the Linux HTPC/server lasted like 10 months before dying. The Windows pc required manual drivers which was slightly annoying while Linux Mint utilized the 10gbe right out of the box.Not I can't connect to the network at all with either card, yet alone 10gbe. Onboard ethernet is holding me over till I buy replacements.

Plug & Play into a QNAP 653B NAS
Just plugged it into my QNAP NAS & it was working within minutes... I setup (6) SATA drives as RAIID10 in my 653B NAS & installed this 10G card to increase 4K video backups. Connected to QNAP's QSW-M408-2C 10G switch I get 400 Mb/s transfer speeds due to the limitation of the 6-drive SATA RAID10 in the QNAP... I only wish I had gotten this 10G PCIe card & 10G switch sooner... IMO QNAP has finally made 10G VERY affordable for home networks as long as you can find pathways to tunnel CAT 7 wiring. My office is in my finished basement, but I was able to snake the CAT 7 wires alongside a RETURN (cool) air duct to the QNAP NAS which is installed in a cabinet in the utility room...

using on ubuntu server, it works.
the install on a linux based server is a bit more involved. but it does work. Be careful though. The guys at qnap customer service can't really help you with firmware issues, only offer replacement. And marvell, the guys that make the actual chip that your driver's are for, is NO HELP AT ALL. you can call *A* number and email *someone* but you won't hear back any help at all from them with any issues. Luckily enough the readme file walks you through the process fairly well. The bottom even has some troubleshooting you can use if things don't quite work.
