Solid tool!
This is my second tool from this company (the first was a hoof tester) and also my second time being impressed by the robustness of manufacture. This is definitely a heavy-duty tool -- I haven't used it yet, but after many years of doing my own farrier work, I can tell this one will cut easily through hoof. Note that it has a rounded profile rather than a flat profile -- I'll be using this as a trimmer, and some people prefer a flat profile for trimming. Both have their own advantages, and I find that either works just fine. This is missing any kind of rubber on the handle -- it's all metal -- but as long as you're okay with that, this is a solid tool, came sharp, and will last for years.

Heavy, Solid Metal - Appears Nice for the Owner's Use
I picked this up at my farrier's suggestion. Well, she suggested I keep a shoe puller in my trailer in case my horse ever starts to lose his (she also suggested I get a nail puller, which is next on my list!).This came in a nice red bag, wrapped in plastic and then inside of another plastic bag. My guess is because it's oiled, and to prevent the oil from getting on other items potentially in transit. There do appear to be some mild/small rust spots? Nothing that for me, a super casual user who's putting this with her well-used rasp and older HoofJack would care about, but a professional farrier might not like, so just a heads up.For an owner like myself though, I think this (and a nail puller) will be great tools to keep in the trailer!

Great for emergencies
I have this shoe puller just for emergencies. It is not as durable and thick as the one my farrier uses, but it’s better than the ones in the farrier kit. It seems well made and has some weight to it. It is a nice length to get good leverage. It comes in a handy case to protect it from dirt, grime, and the elements. I have it for emergencies. I pay my farrier a lot, but he lives 2 hours away and isn’t always available for emergencies. I feel confident I canremove a shoe if needed and prevent it from ripping precious hoof like it does on its own. I did also order a nail clinch to remove the nail head before removing the shoe. All in all it’s a great tool that that gives me peace of mind.

Nice quality puller
If you have horses with shoes on you need to keep a puller on hand. Your farrier can’t always get to you immediately and a half off shoe can do a lot of damage. Have your farrier show you how to pull a shoe and keep one of these pullers at the barn and in your trailer. Theses are a great option as they are of really nice quality and come in a handy storage bag.

Nice Quality
These are high-quality horseshoe pullers. They are made with thick steel and our professional grade. The serrated clasp makes it easy to remove shoes from my horses. The polars come in a nice caring case to keep them rust and debris free.
