Beautiful shade
You'll need a leveler and drill driver with 1/8th drill bit. The paper template that came with the package was very helpful to help align the pilot holes and level the shade. Our surface wasn't perfectly flat, therefore we used some metal rings underneath the brackets and longer nails to make sure all brackets click into the valance. It's a beautiful piece.

Sleek Looking
It installed easily but I couldn’t get the middle clip to snap in on the bottom. Fools up and out of way when not in use. Doesn’t block the west setting sun as much as I had hoped for. Had to buy a blackout curtain for patio door afterall

Great screen with a few issues
The apparatus/handle used to put down/up the shade, is not able to hook into the metal circle on the shade itself. Therefore, it will not allow you to lower/raise the screen unless you twist the metal loop with your fingers.

Solar blocking yes, privacy no, outdated instructions
I wanted a roller shade for my screened porch that would reduce afternoon sun. Since we purchased a (not yet installed) hot tub for the porch, I also wanted something that would provide some privacy, though that was a secondary concern. A critical factor was the ability to move the operating crank from the right side to the left - most of these pole-operated shades don't offer that, this one does. I also liked that the loop for hooking the pole was metal instead of plastic. It was also critical that the shade support "wall mounting" - many assume mounting under an eave. The shade came well packaged, with a hard plastic case inside cardboard. I appreciated the inclusion of a full-length template for aligning the mounting screws. (Use a 1/8" drill for pilot holes.) Really, the only difficult part of the installation was finding that the manufacturer's instructions (video only) for swapping the pole from right to left were based on an old design. I did eventually figure it out. You remove three screws from the back of the valance at each end. The end cap has a spring clip holding it in place - a firm tug will remove it. Swap the parts, push the end caps back in place and reinsert the screws.Operation is smooth. It comes with a four-foot pole which is too long for my application, so I ordered a two-foot version from the manufacturer's web site (they also sell replacement parts.) A six-foot pole is also available. My one disappointment was that the shade doesn't provide much privacy - see the photo I attached for an example.

One little glitch on a perfect shade
This shade is really nice: shades the worst of the sun but let's enough light through so as not to feel confining. Installation was easy and all parts were present. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is this: the attachment atop the rod that rolls the shade up and down is really finicky. If you don't hold this rod in an almost vertical position, it slips off the blind attachment. No big deal, but I had it slip off four times before I found exactly the right angle. Nevertheless, I would buy this again.

Great shade and quality
Product was damaged and bent at the middle. It was still usable at least it works for now. Wish it was discounted more because many would not have bought this damaged item. Good quality if it wasn’t bent.

I was shipped a defective product.
I was sent a product that obviously had been returned as the heads of screws were stripped and the blind and the roll up mechanism weren't connected. The individuals I hired to put up the blinds spent considerable time making making repairs. Once they were up they appeared to function well. It is a shame that such a product wasn't inspected prior to shipping.
